Having a sense of humor

I do my best to keep a happy-go-lucky life and it seems a great sense of humor lightens what could be a very stressful situation. Witty remarks and sometimes even a bit of sarcasm can often put a smile on a persons face and get a laugh, but there are times when I have to say Uh Oh someone is not having a good day. Do you keep a great sense of humor as a part of your life? Do you think its important and helpful?

All I can say is stay focused and always do your best to make life better. Its when you let the misery take over that really brings you down. We all go through tough times, I just chose to focus on making things better. Until I met my girlfriend, my life had no reason and meaning, and if it wasn't for my sense of humor. wit and just being me, I never would have won her heart. Things are getting better because you are letting it get better and lingering on the misery and problems.

Well i have lost over 8 people last year. I kept saying things well get better and i would start to feel better and some one would die. or some unexpected bill would come. i mean it was horrible anything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. and i mean in every part of my life. but you have to take the bad with the good. so far this year is a lot better so i was right last year when i said this year will be better. it is good to try to stick to the bright side but things happen.

The only two times I lose my sense of humor is when I am in mourning and when I am Very, Very angry. Otherwise It is a part of me. I wouldn't be me without a good sense of humor.

I have a good sense of humour and I enjoy seeing the funny side to life most of the time. I am successful at making my young daughter smile when she is feeling sad but there are times when both she and I need to feel a little down in order to appreciate joy again. I will have to agree that a sense of humour is a must though.

We all have our down times and it is unavoidable... THAT'S LIFE!!! I just don't understand why some people go through life spreading nothing but MISERY. Glen Frey said it best in his song "I've Got Mine"... "I didn't make this world, I'm in it just like you". Stay happy, stay well, and keep your daughter smiling.

I think it is always a great idea to have a sense of humor, aswell as be witty.I think that life is far too short to be angry aswell as upset about things.I find that when ever i am having a bad day,i tend to think of all those people that are alot more worse off than ourselves.I love to cheer people up when ever they are on a downer about things.

Its true that laughter is the best medicine and its sad because its also true that "MISERY LOVES COMPANY". Some people would rather spread their misery so that they don't feel all alone, when if they would just learn to "lighten up and laugh", they would have to be lost in a world of misery.

I always tried that, sweetie. But these days i don't do that anymore. We cannot always put up a happy face and walk around like a freaking bunch of clowns. That looks scary. TATA.

Of course, there are times when we need to get serious about life so don't get me wrong, having a sense of humor and being light-hearted is a lot different than being a fool. One thing is certain, because of my light hearted approach, wit, and sense of humor, when I get serious, people do indeed pay more attention to what I have to say. If you are grumpy and always complaining people tend to take a "yeah, yeah OK" attitude and even though they might be "listening" to you, but they aren't "hearing" you. It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round and nobody is perfect. Smile and have a great day! Tom

You will always be yourself, my friend. There is nothing wrong with that! Being yourself only comes naturally.

I make fun of everyone including myself. It is not important to laugh but its not going to hurt you. It is helpful in certain situations like in awkward silence situations you know.

So true..I find it good to keep a positive attitude and make light of situations because you really do think better with a clear mind that isn't overburdened with stress and aggravation... Live,Love and Laugh.

I think that a good sense of humor is of the upmost importance. If we are not laughing then sometimes we would be crying. Humor is a bit of a survival skill for me. It has saved me many times.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I find my sense of humor to be just the opposite. People who tend to linger on problems and look for them in just about everything seem to lack a sense of humor. Of course, that's just my opinion. Even at work when a problem arises, I take a light hearted approach towards resolving it rather than getting all upset over it. A clear mind works best.
