That scared me

I had my cell phone when I was at the store, then later on in the day I went to pick my son up from camp and realized it wasn't in my purse. I was so afraid I lost it at the store somehow, so happy to come home and see that it must have fallen out of my pocketbook onto the sofa. The thought of losing my phone, knowing I could afford to spend money on a new one, got my heart racing. It always seems like when you are already down on your luck money wise, something always happens to make it worse. Have you experienced something like this recently?

Yeah, as if things aren't bad enough, my car's in the shop with a snapped timing belt requiring $400+ worth of work to get it back on the road. Replacing a cell phone would be a lot cheaper for me right now. LOL

Thank you for putting it in perspective, that is definitely much worst. A cell phone is a nice necessity but not comparable in anyway to a car.

therenthead - yeah, I think it's a family curse, although it seems to be avoiding my brother lately. ROFL

ksmusselman, my parents have been having a lot of car trouble lately, all with expensive fixes, so I completely understand how frustrating that is.

Oh gosh yes, too frequently. Glad yo found your cell, I had an episode like this a few months ago and man I wanted the whole world to stop. Luckily I found it but it was quite a scare that I would now not have it and still have pay on the contract and yet not be able to afford a new one. So I know that feeling you had today.

You know it. Like I said not the end of the world but also when you are already down on your luck not something you want to deal with. I was very glad when I came home to see it on my sofa. The thing that made me upset is I am really careful with my things so to think I could have dropped it somewhere was making me crazy.

That's feeling exactly, it is when you know best that you normally are more careful but we must realize somehow that we are human and well have a tad bit tendency to be careless. We have to get use the idea that we are not as perfect as we think.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I recently thought that I left my iPod in a hotel room and didn't realize it until we had been on the road back home for an hour. It was actually packed away in a bag, but it sure scared the crap out of me.

I am sure the whole time you were stressing just like I was until you had your hands on it. Not the end of the world but a pretty big deal to lose items like that especially when you know right now you would not have the money to replace it.

Exactly. With out money situation, there's no way I would have been able to replace it.
