We always pray before we eat. It has always been like that since we were young and its like a sin if you are not going to pray before we eat. Its a necessary thing to give grace to God and thanks him of the blessings before eating the food on the table.

Thats a good example to the people surround you p3ks626 that you pray before you eat. That is also we did every time we receive blessings in our life. We need to be thankful for it.

i do.. i pray at all times for the blessings i received from God.. I thank him and i always see to it that i whisper a short thank you before eating.., it's my way of staying close to him..=)

Yeah.As an individual we must need to pray every time in our daily lives to give thanks to the LORD that He gave us good health and most especially HE gave us blessings that we survive in everyday life.

no, but I always take a moment to think about where the food comes from.
if there's meat I am grateful for the animal that gave it's life, and appreciate the significant of the fact I am eating the flesh of something that once lived, so I must not let it go to waste.
I think of the farm workers that put their hard work and energy into producing the vegetables.
all things come from the efforts of others. the lives and energy of others.
I don't take this lightly. I care about the living conditions of any animals involved, be they raised for meat or laying eggs. I care about working conditions for the human producers of my food. taking this time to think about the foods origins reminds me of how important this is, and connects me with my food.

Well, Galena this is your choice that you never pray before eating. It's okay and I respect you because you are telling your opinion here. Now I know that there's lot of people who didn't pray and give thanks to the one who made us the blessings we receive in everyday of our lives.

Hello shia88. I'm to shocked while reading your response here because I thought that all people must pray before eating but I like you because you are true to yourself and telling that you didn't pray when you eat meal. So, thats your own philosophy in life and we cannot force you to change it. But, im happy also that you pray when you are in your temple so meaning you know how to pray.

that's a good example you made. As a christian it is recommended to pray and thanks for the blessings we receive before eating and that's our trend. my parents teach me about it when I was a little kid.

thats our responsibility being a human even if we have different in faith. we better pray always and thats a sign also that we love HIM more than anything else.

You are right indahfth. As a catholic we need to pray first before we eat because its a time to thanks God for the blessings we have and gave us another chaqnce that we can eat everyday.

Yeah most families in my country are Roman Catholic and it's being taught to give thanks for the blessings we received daily, the food we eat. But I also give thanks after I eat because I'm full and the food was really delicious :-)

that's a good way to show our thankfulness to HIM through prayer. Even if we have different religion as long as we know how to thanks for the blessings we get still it is a good way.

When I was a kid, I could clearly remember that we kids would be taking turns in praying before meals. Sadly it has changed. We became busy as we grow older and acquired work and we seldom eat together already so honestly, nowadays I seldom pray before meals.
