Music, as a way to relieve stress

Music, as we all know, is an art by itself. I know of many people who listen to music all the time when doing work or maybe just sitting down on the chair and listening alone. To some people, music may just be some nice sounding melody to them but in actual fact, it has therapeutic effects on humans. Music like baroque, helps to boost the mind and enhance learning. Jazz, which I like most, helps to relax the mind and thus, relieves us of stress. I recommend listening to jazz as it is 'soft' in a way.
Some people, especially youngsters, love listening to heavy metal music. Now that's their own way of relieving stress. My teacher once told me that heavy metal music was rough and its lyrics were kind of 'emo' as it was always about killing or whatsoever. Well, that was what my teacher said. As I also play the piano, I listen to Richard Clayderman's music pieces too. I like his 'a comme amour', 'love story' and many more big hits. Do you listen to music to relieve stress too?

I believe that music is really a good outlet of stress because when you listen to your favorite music you tend to sing and unknowingly you are already relieved. But i might suggest to listen to music that is relaxing ...
