4:44 - What does it mean?

For some reason I seem to glance at the digital clock most days at 4:44pm. I never seem to notice the time or look at the clock at 4:40, 4:45 or any other time around this time of day, it is always 4:44. This has been happening to me for the last six months or more. It never used to happen to me in the past. I am not sure why I notice this time nearly every day. Anyone have any ideas? do you know anything about numerology?

Guessing wildly here, but maybe that you're 2:22 away from 6:66? Not sure if it's good or bad as I don't know whether 2:22 is considered big or small here :-) Or maybe you just have some obsession with the number four? Maybe you are (subconsciously) very afraid of turning 44? ;-)

Hmm, 44 is still six and a half years away for me. Perhaps it means that I will live to the ripe old age 444! I just realised that my birth month and day are 3 and 5 and 4 is in the middle of them both! Also my birth year is 73. 7 - 3 = 4!!!

Maybe it's not so much you that's obsessed with 4, but 4 that's obsessed with you? 'Cause right now you have 1790 posts, and 17-9 = 8, and 8 is 2*4! And 1790/4 = 447.5, and that's two fours! Spooky ...

Personally I think you are reading far too much into this and it is purely a learned response..we have an internal clock and I believe that your 'alarm' just 'goes off' at 4.44 every day which causes you to look a the clock.

I think that you are probably right and this is my opinion too, but I thought that it would be interesting to find out what others though of it.

numerology is a bunch of garbage and has no rational meaning to it. i find it hard to believe that 4:44pm has shown up that much on your clock over the last 6 months. 1:11,2:22,3:33,4:44,5:55 there's no difference to me.

In the past I would have thought that numbers mean nothing too and that it is just a coincidence. I have just as much chance at seeing the clock at other times of day right? Check out my answer above about my birthday!

try to change your routines. maybe you are just to precise in doing your job or work at a certain time and finishes them at the same speed. Mine is 10:32. But i don't really mind. I just notice that often because its my ID number in college. Please don't worry about it. And also I would like to share this, our body has its own clock. I notice that i always wake up 1 minute before my clock alarms. 4:59 in the morning. It's really amazing. don't worry about it. It is not only you experiencing this. I'm glad that you post it here in mylot.

I work from home running my own business so my routine is often different from day to day so it is not like I am doing the same thing at that time each day which is causing me to look at the clock. It even happens to me on the weekends, even when I am away from home. I think it is to do with my body clock and a habit that I have gotten into. When I used to get up at 5am each day for my work, I used to set the alarm for 5 but I woke so often at 4:59 just like you. It is amazing isn't it! Now that I work from home I do not set an alarm anymore.

This 'time noticing' caught my attention in one of the Korean Drama series. In that drama, the boy told the girl to make a wish whenever they see the digital clock at "11:11". It seems the wish will come true. He also mentioned about "4:44", not so favorable. However, luck and being lucky is having confident, being at the right place and at the right time.

I do notice 11:11 quite often as it is my wife's date of birth, but I did not know to make a wish upon that time until now. So what do you mean about 4:44 being not so favourable Iriene? Do you know any specific details?

I do not really think of it during the day, but something in my subconscious is obviously drawing my eyes to the clock at that time nearly every day.
