What applications/software do you have downloaded that you would recommend?

Hi, I really enjoy researching for applications/software that are cool and very helpful to have in your desktop/laptop. I use stickie notes for reminders and to do list for my job. I also download add ins for microsoft outlook to make my work a lot organized and efficient. Would you like to recommend a software/application that does not take too much space and does not slow down the laptop or computer that you think is cool to have and will be very helpful for everyone that is working online or just listening music. editing videos and photos or other stuff?

I don't use those stuffs anymore to prevent slowing down of my system. Not that it is slow, but I just dont need those stuffs right now. I am only using one that is very useful to me. Vista Shutdown Timer. The name says it all, you set the time when you want it to turn off automatically.

Since i am late for responding your question ,i think most of the tools that i use and are really cool are already mentioned in the above comments.
But i think no one has mentioned "CCleaner".CCleaner is a small application that prevents your system from running slow.It cleans all the junk files,cookies,log files,temporary files,cache of many browsers,etc.
You should check this out as it is the best app that maintains your system nicely.
