Drinking a lot of vitamins: Good or Bad?

Is Drinking a lot of vitamins good? or is it something bad?
Well, I've grown up in a family, who were really health conscious... as in totally!
Everyday, i drink almost 15-20 tablets or capsules or liquid vitamins...
Sometimes I'm getting tired of it... but since i don't want to get scolded or punished
i just drink them all.. I told my partner about this.. and he was worried that it's
gonna kill me.. coz there are also scientific studies which shows that too much
medicine isn't good for your health and also can do damage to your body..
So what do you think?

it's really good for you, yet it could be bad if you overdue it and just take to many pills and just not being healthy about doing it so.
we all women or men can get vitamins from Vegetables, Fruits, Nuts.
proteins are essential fatty acids.

i think it is bad. i dont know. your kidneys may suffer too much. are they all prescribed by your doctors or just self medicated? ask your doctor about it just to make it sure. :)

Balance, Balance, Balance!! Too much is bad, not enough is bad, you must be taking some for all the food it is not as good as it should be, because of how much it is processed in the world today, but too much can cause an imbalance as well, ask your doctor, they will tell you what balances best.

It must be hard. Are you watched when you take your vitamins? Can you pretend to take them? Or lie about it? Can you talk to your parents and tell them you don't want to take so many vitamins?

I know there are several websites you can go on that will explain a particular vitamin, what you need it for, the effects if you have too little in your system, as well as the effects if you take too much. I take one multi-vitamin pill a day, however I would think (and of course I am no expert), that taking 15-20 tablets would be a bit too much. I would double check with your doctor.

If It's only Vitamins It won't hurt you except that your body now has to get rid of them, but if your taking Medications then you very well could hurt yourself. Check the labels to see what your taking. then decide for yourself. health care is an issue of personal choice. Your the only one that can decide whats best for your own health.

Also if you take many Vitamins & Minerals you might want to switch to distilled water to help your body get rid of the Vtmns and Mnrls that your body is going to excrete anyway.

If I was you I would visit my doctor and explain to him what you are taking and follow the medical advice you will be given. My mother gave my sister a lot of vitamin c when she was a baby and she became quite sick because she didn’t need it. I would check the situation out if I was you; you don’t want to get sick!

if your body does not need some vitamins or mineral, then the minerals will stay in your body. it may cause some damage in your body. just like useless things in your garage. the garage soon will be full and explode if u add some new things everyday.

Hi fheroan!.
Why do you drink thats much vitamin?. I think we can have it from food that we eat. Thats to much I think your kidney and kidney has to work hard to process it. I don't wanna you to have kidney and liver problem in future.
I hear if you taking to much vitamin you will be having problem in operation table because they have to give the biggest dosage medicine, your body not react to the normal dosage. I think if you are not sick there is not need you consume it.

no, its not good to drink too much of vitamins daily.
in fact we should let our digestive system work on its own to take the minerals n vitamins from the food.
ofcourse we may take off n on the vitamins ,if required on the prescripton of a qualified doctor or medically competant person.
we should take healthy in and 'vitamin rich diets' instead of drinking vitamins directly.

I also have my vitamins. Vitamin E and C capsule but when my friend told me about synthetic medicines, I'm so worried with my health. I slowly stopping my habit in taking in my vitamins and I am having now the natural intakes of what my friend told me. Salt is I think has good minerals. When I drink I always have a pinch of salt and drink 1 or 2 glasses of water. I eat raw vegetables that I can take just like romaine lettuce, carrots. It's a cheap diet.

drinks alot of vitamin its good for you health but not you body to take alot of chemical inside of the vitamin and you friend its true the vitamin drinking alot will be soon killing you of the chemical

Why could you drink so many vitamins without the advice from a professional doctor? Your action may lead to a bad healthy problem indeed.
Taking proper vitamins is allowed because vitamin is a necessity to a balanced diet. However, you will benefit nothing if you have taken lots of vitamins. On the contrary, you may suffer a lot from the side effects of your action.
So, you'd better look for a doctor to gain help please.

I think you should be careful. Too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. I would visit a doctor and take a list of all the vitamins you take. I would ask the doctor if they are safe. You don't want to accidentally ruin your liver or your kidneys or hurt your stomach.

Personally, I would stay away from anything that is artificial like vitamin supplements as you never know exactly what is in them. They are made by chemists in labs!
You can get all of the vitamins and minerals that you need from eating good quality fruits and vegetables and by avoiding junk food. Drinking good quality water is also a good way to get precious vitamins and minerals. Try to eat organic as much as possible and you will get all of your requirements from nature instead of from a scientist!

Hiya fher,
If you don´t feel good taking them then don´t you only need a very small amount at the most. Our food should provide us with everything we need.
There are times say if we are very run down when I think vitamins can help some but combined with the best kind of food we can get in that moment.
As much fresh food and fruit is your best option anytime.
The most basic food and fruit are equally as good as any other expensive vitamin packs.
Besides they reckon that your system gets used to them and then they don´t have really much effect at all.
But all this what I put here are only observations so you do what you feel best for you.

yes vitamins is good in our body it helps prevent from sickness and also help us get well but it is better if you take vitamins with the prescription to avoid over dosage.
