Some say American
Some say foreign
Some say the older models
Does it really depend on how you take care of the vehicle or does it have to do with where it was made
What vehicle has better quality?

A good way to figure quality of a car your interested in is to check out Edmunds.com, kelleybluebook, and also to check out user forums for fans of that particular model like this one for bmws' forum.e46fanatics.com. You can scan the forum and see if a particular issue crops up in the model. Edmund's and Kelleybluebook have comprehensive reviews for cars, including anticipated cost per year, expected reliability, and more. Also, Consumer Reports can answer your question about what car has better quality but it can't answer which one is best for you and not to mention you have to pay for Consumer Reports (you can find it sold at Costco or just subscribe online). It all depends on what you need and what fits your life the best.

There are plenty of choices out their, but the best thing to keep in mind, I guess, is how will you use the car or what are going to do with it? do you travel a lot? do you use for your business?

The ones you feel comfortable with. It all depends on what you call quality and what features you want your car to have.
