I was shocked on how much some of the GOCC (government-owned and -controlled corporations) top executives earn. Some of these companies/corporations have entertainment and wine&dine expenses. Like for example last year the BSP's entertainment allowance is 14 times than what DepEd spent. This, for me, is quite alarming. What do you think my fellow mylotters

i have watched the news. there expenses are in millions! the gas allowance is 1.8M. they should all liquidate the expenses they made to see if they really spent these money for themselves or not.

boogzter, initially I was ! Then I became . Now I am totally for the execution by firing squad. Ooops, that may be too kind. Lethal injection might be too easy, too. Electric chair would be hair raising but would look comic-like. I am for whatever you think of. This is the unforgivable crime. And at this moment, I am not willing to forgive even if asked. I am invoking the right of the mendicant child begging barefoot on the highway. And these greedy gremlins seem to think they are God blessed people when they ride in their heavily tinted 4 by 4's. Please boogzter, temper me now or I would cast a curse!

I am not surprise at all, the Aquino administrations battle for corruption has no victory yet, I just hope it can eliminate at least 1/4 of the rotten system.

It is too much! I think the new president should look into this. Why such extravagant and excessive expenses like such are being allowed or authorized by the government. The Philippines need to redirect the disbursement of its budget/funds to other more important projects which can really help the country to progress and not on petty things which only a few, high officials of GOCCs can enjoy and abuse. It has been said that the Philippines' economy is not doing well, that many Filipinos are poor and that our country's foreign debt is continuously increasing. But whoah, what about the money spent on those GOCCs.. this isn't fair. Just like the previous president spending so much money on her foreign travel (including expensive dinings and hotel accommodations). With such spendings, who would say that Philippines is a poor country?

Yes this is very alarming. That amount for their expenditures should just be added to the government's funds or to create some programs that can alleviate poverty. We shouldn't worry now because everything including this will be really taken cared off by our new government. Lets us just hope for the best for our country.
