Is horse fighting wrong?

Horse fighting is banned in many countries but why?
I mean it happens in nature, so why do they say it is cruelty to animals. The only difference here is that the horses are trained to fight and people make bets? Do you think in nature horses don't train to fight? If people did not bet it wouldn't be banned? They may fight to death but that is their nature to be fierce and strong. I think riding horses is much more cruel than making them fight because when you ride horses the horse isn't free.

I never heard of horse fighting i don't think we do that in America. Im surprised that horses actually fight with each other. All the horses I've seen are very passive in general and gentle. I think that iv never seen horses fight it sounds cruel.

Horses fight over a prospective female horse for mating. Just go to youtube and you'll find things like these. Wild horses do it naturally.

There are so many other ways to entertain oneself and have fun, even to earn money. I believe in allowing nature to take its course. Mother nature doesn't really need any help from us, so we should not train animals to fight.

I guess you are right. Humans are just naturally cruel.

I think its cruel! Sure i natre it does happen, but atleast the losing horse has the chance to get away when they decide not to fight anymore. With horse fighting, they are put into a cage which takes their ability to be able to flee once they know they can't win anymore. Also, it doesn't happen to often in nature, just from time to time over a female horse in heat.

It's just human nature that loves fighting or watch fighting that is cruel not the animals. I can see your perspective. Actually, horses won't fight without a female horse to fight for so they still have a female horse as a reward for the winning horse.
