Store security vs Invasion of Privacy

I recently found out that stores and spas have included video surveillance with audio capability as part of their security system. This is good I guess because there are people who go to dressing rooms and come out two suits/shirts/other... heavier, however when I found that the cameras were behind the changing mirrors so that they were taping people undressing and stores also mount the cameras above the changing rooms but they are directed to the mirror so that they can see you trying on clothes. I believe that this is past security and is now invasion of privacy.
