Do Animals Worship God?

India

I know this is a very strange question. Do you think animals worship God? If your answer is "no" then it means THEIR LIFE/LIFE PATH IS PREDETERMINED BY GOD because they cant change their condition by praying/worshiping GOD...so they have only 2 option survive or die... ...If your answer is "yes" then do you think.....they have enough intellectual capacity to do this ?

I think that animals worhip God simply by being what they are. We should also worship God that way but the difficulty is (as it is perceived by us and as written down in the poetic and metaphorical language of the Book of Genesis in the Bible) that we have 'eaten of the Tree of Knowledge' and therefore we 'know' that we are different from other animals and also that we have the ability to choose what we do ... which leads on to the concept of 'sin'.

yeah.. i think so. like dogs, they know that when they die, they'd go to doggy heaven so they try to stay loyal to their owners all their life. and cats... i think they worship Bast, you know, the Goddess of the cats. i can't say about the other animals though... lol!

Every living thing that has been created by God has their lives predetermined by God to a certain extent, since we can still do something to change our lives if we dont like how it is being lived. But with animals, well they aren't just as intelligent as humans, they cant even speak. They are intelligent to some extent, like they know how to find their way back home, they can recognize their masters, etc. but they dont know God or how they came into existence.

a lot of animals speak. just because we can't understand them doesn't mean they don't. I don't understand a lot of human languages, but I don't think that means they can't speak. even rats have really quite complex vocal communications.

Oh i see. It makes sense though, since they were given voices and are allowed to bark, meow, etc. We just cant understand them. They were just created by God to speak in another form or language. I was just referring to the fact that they dont use words like humans do when they communicate with each other.

Thats interesting. What type of pets do you have, hamsters, white mice or guinea pigs? You even have a bat detector device, you must be really keen on knowing more about your pets. Well im now aware of the fact that they are also considered words, just different variations. I completely forgot about the sign language thing that the mute people have been using, it is technically a form of language, even if there is no spoken words.

I know that but what do you think on that?

I think they don't as they have no free will because they can't speak, and they don't have leaders, because they are usually pets and slaves of owners.

so free will is determined by the ability to speak? so if somene is unable to speak they have no free will? that's not logic. and it's well known and well documented that animals have leaders. try telling a wolf pack that animals have no leaders.

Animals have no need to worship god or any deity. They are above us in that respect. Animals are pure souls incapable of doing evil.

Hi there, Which God are you talking about? I think they may be worshiping their own God. I remember when I was younger, a girl told me dogs don't go to heaven and I became depressed. So in some religions, they probably don't worship that god.

isn't that a horribly depressing thought. the very idea that you strive to be good, and are rewarded by being incarcerated in a world without dogs. how awful. a heaven without dogs certainly wouldn't be worthy of the name.

Nope, it surely isn't. That's why I don't follow that religion!

animals are far more in tune than we are. and I've yet to meet an animal I considered to be Christian. they know their place in the universe. they know what they are, and aren't disturbed by matters like organised religion.

Maybe or maybe not, maybe the pets knows God on the manner of their thinking, or maybe they do not workship God at all as God only gave a high level of thinking to human beings. However, my parents says if you have love then you have God. I had seen love on some cats with her children, and even with the dogs. Maybe or maybe not. I am not sure too.

I think they are, i think God has give them ability to see "things" that people can't see, and because of that i think they are also worship God, since we don't know their languages, we didn't know when they worship them

Animals don't worship god as they are not greedy. We, humans pray to god to achieve more than our relatives and neighbors. We want more in anything...more money, more health, more lovers!........etc. But animals are content with what they are blessed with. They don't even save for tomorrow. They just try to survive today. Humans too cannot change their destiny by praying to god, if you understand the scriptures properly. But we have stories in Hindu mythology about animals worshiping god. There is a story of a spider and elephant worshiping the Siva Lingam.

Well I think Yes!!They do worship God. Obviously not in the way we do, but perhaps they have their own secret and silent ways of worshiping God. And why not? Just because they cant speak, or dont have a free will like us humans. Well, they know, how to find their food and water, , how to protect themselves, how to fight for survival, Reproduction, looking after their kids, caring for them and every other aspect of Life just like we humans know. So Why not Worshiping God? I think they do recognize the God Almighty and in their own ways worship Him and pray for their well being. So according to me, Animals do worship God just like we "Social Animals" do. Take care :)

They probably do it in their own way. But they have leaders of the pack which they follow faithfully even it means they have to die.

Animals dont have the capicity to choose between god or bad like we humans do. They just do whatever they instinct tells them to. They are most likely following the will of god already, since they were given the intellect to choose the wrong path. Animals are sure doing what they were meant to do.

Yup, animals are predetermined by God. They have a particular life course and then they die. Humans are the only intelligent life source on this planet who aren't pre-determined and have a Will of our own.

Lets forget the animals and talk about people for a minute! Christian Religion demands that God be worshiped. Is God that narcissistic that He requires to be worshiped? I don't think so! The God I know is a Loving God. A God who loves Absolutely, with an Absolute Love- and Not a God who would demand to be worshiped like Idi Amin Dada, who became known as the 'Butcher of Uganda' for his brutal, despotic rule whilst President of Uganda in the 1970s. Amin insisted that his subjects Worship him, and its been estimated that he murdered millions! Why would God (The Surpreme Intelligence) demand to be worshiped by Animals? (or People) Lets get real about this!

Well in my personal opinion, I don't think they do.I've actually observed my dogs and I did not see them pray nor meditate in any instance so it could not be possible that they also know how to worship God. On the second thought however, as God is a Supreme Being maybe He has a different way of making these animals worship Him. We really don't know. But on another thought, I believe the heart and mind of an animal are not designed as that of man so it is not possible for Him to worship his Creator. This is the reason why animals do not have souls I think. When they die they just cease to exist unlike men who after dying will have to face judgment.

Well first your logic is flawed when it comes to what the answers "must" mean. I would say animals don't worship God for the simple fact that their minds are not open to imagination and even conceptualizing religion or deities. I do believe their life can be more then survive or die, I mean my dog doesn't seem too worried about survival and more concerned with getting attention, but she is domesticated after all. I really have a big issue with not worshiping equaling predestined existence thanks to God. I find that silly myself, though I also don't worship or believe in God...
