Yes, I'm in favor of this program because it can lessen crimes, violators and accidents at night and also it can help minimize the traffic build up during early in the morning. I just hope that they will perform their duties properly.

Hahaha...I hope so too! Several night shift traffic enforcers are now in hot water after they were caught sleeping on the job. Probably just needs some time to adjust to night duty.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's initiative to have traffic enforcers monitoring our streets 24/7 is a very good program. MMDA enforcers can now assist our police force on night patrol.
I also heard that their sidewalk clearing crews will also be deployed for night duty. Illegal sidewalk vendors who clog the sidewalks and even the footbridges at night will soon be dealt with by the Sidewalk Clearing Operations Group of the MMDA.

I am in favor for this program. Also I hope that in this program - they can include undercover MMDA/PNP agents so that their strategy in trying to lessen crimes will be much more effective.
Though there are police too driving around but most taxi cabs I rode with often complain that they are just driving around to find someone they can "kotong" with.

I think that its a good idea that might have some implementation problems. The manpower pool of MMDA might not be able to handle a 24/7 shifting for a long time. Plus, the MMDA are not really policemen but more of traffic enforcers. The police is the one that is tasked to prevent crimes. Traffic becomes manageable around midnight and so the enforcers might just sleep as what was reported in the news. Probably the flood control program should be 24/7.

I agree...As long as they do patrol the night as good cops and not kotong cops.

It seems that they now realize that laws are a 24hr. being. It should have been ages ago.
