Is there a division amoung spirits? There are good spirits, then there is God, and then there is the devil, then there are demons which are bad spirits.
I was reading a discussion early about spituality and whether or not a person who is not of God can claim to be of the spirit. Well, this one responded and said that he believed there was just good spirits and there was not evil spirits. So, i wanted to post the question. If you believe there is a God shouldn't you also believe that there is a devil. The devil used to be an angel. In Genisis and revelation throughout it talks about how God threw the devil out heaven for questioning him and from then on out he was called a deomon name. He was given certain animals like the snake to prowl on the grounds of the earth. God seen this spirit as a bad spirit and so it began that the devil went about seeking whom he may devour. So can you believe in God and not believe in the devil. I'd like to know what CHurch teaches that there isn't a devil and isn't a hell and that's it's all just about God and his spirit. Am I missing something here?

You are correct...there are evil spirits as well as good spirits. The evil spirits are commonly called demons or devils...

yes someone is missing something and they need to find a new church - one that teaches the whole word of God.
When Lucifer fell he took a third of the angels with him. This third are out there stirring up trouble, the bible even talks about unclean spirits and on several occasions in the Bible Jesus Christ and his apostles cast them out of people. Mark 5:9 is one story of demonic activity.

I think this person needs to get to a new church, one that teaches the whole truth of the bible and God. There are demons, Mark 5:9 is one story of Jesus casting out demons from a man - there are many other stories too about Christ and even his Apostles. When Lucifer fell he took one third of the angles with him, these same angles are demons which are reeking havoc on earth.

Well, i believe there is always two opposite things always. The good and the bad. So when there is good spirits there is also the bad. Sometimes when we think of doing bad, as if there is someone telling you not to proceed. Well i think that is what we call conscience.

its like there is always a positive and negative to everything we do. even if you don't believe in a spiritual being. Just like with a magnet. You have positive and negative.
If you look at it in a spiritual term. What happens with someone in heaven if God says that they can no longer redeem themselves. Satan was an angel and got throwed out so there for it was logical that there would be some place for him to go because angels were in heaven. Those that did what God wanted or followed the majority of there Christain life to what God wanted to do.

I don't believe you are missing anything and that you have all the right answers you need too. I believe that some people simply find the devil and demons much too nasty a concept too even believe in and maybe perhaps do not even wish for there loved one's to know of these things at all either in fear that it may make them too scared of the church at all. Some people today I have found in my own church goings are very into saving the rod to spoil the child so to speak, in other words they will disipline there children but not with the devil or demons in mind to there young one's so that they may still love and trust there fellow church members and there church it's self and not feel terrorized in anyway shape or form by some nasty demon points of view. There have been points in time where this was enforced much more that today but with all different times do come different changes weather for good or bad they are still there. I too was taught of the devil and hell but not all children today are taught in there families homes the very same as they in the church this is still a parents right after all. Thanks,A.B.
