My newfy's name is Phoenix (Kaylar's Phoenix of Winddancer) and she is a total idiot, so so funny. She woofs at me in a very loud voice when she wants something, whether it is fresh water, or to go potty, or just in general need of attention. She of ocourse is also a "carrier", when people come to visit, or when she needs to go outdoors, she must carry one of her "babies" (her stuffies) in her mouth. She parades around with the "stuffy" for several minutes when people come, shoving it into them and showing them her "baby". Feeny has a continuing problem however, it may take several more months yet for it to heal completely. she injured her sciatica nerve (apparently) last February and since then her left rear leg just sort of does it's own thing. At first it was completely paralyzed and she just dragged it, developing a sore on the top of the foot. (this is the wound that still does not heal) however the use of the leg has gradually improved and she seldom drags it any more but when she sits it just goes where it wants and she often whacks that foot into things as she is moving around, which doesnt help the sore any. Other than that, Feeny is in good spirits and doesn't seem to be in pain. she wears bandages which I change daily and she wears a sock over her foot for protection and to keep it clean.
