Hi friends, how many languages can you speak beside your mother language? To speak,I mean simple daily use.I can speak English,Chinese and Siwaxili(an Africa languae).I also studied a little bit Russia and Spanish but can not talk at the moment.
I think to learn a language is an interesting thing which may help you to know another world and make friends. Are you willing to learn another language and what is that?

Hiya startmoney,
English is my first language, I can speak Spanish and understand some French and Portugese and Catalán and Galego and one or two bit of Euskera also but my main lanuage is English even though I speak Spanish most of the Day here as I live here. So really you get to learn whether you want to or not.
As for Russian that is a difficult one for me at the moment.

Only one, really- English. I know bits and pieces of other languages-Czech, French, German, Spanish, Italian. I took Latin in high school, which really doesn't have much of a practical use today. I thought I was going to go into archaeology then, though, so it might have had some use. I'm hoping to learn French and Farsi, although I'd love to learn a lot more.

In our part of our country there are many ethnic groups and almost all each with their own dialect. Although most have common words among them, I can say that it is still hard to learn many, yet I know some, not very fluently but maybe already in a good stage. My point is, in our place learning to speak a new dialect is almost like learning a new language. Anyway, I do know other languages, Filipino our mother tongue, learned English since a child, a little Turkish in High School, and Spanish and Japanese still in the process.

At the moment, I can only speak English, bits and pieces of Spanish, and can read and write in Latin. I'd LOVE the opportunity to learn any other languages. I love how language can help you connect with so many different people and learn about the culture. I'd also love to read great works of literature in their original languages.

5, and yes, I would be willing to learn another one, I think it is a good skill to have and it is kind of fun too! I am European, and in Europe a lot of people know a lot of languages, it is not something very unusual there...
