Which is better a "flat top" acoustic guitar or a classical spanish guitar?

I've always wondered which guitar people prefer. The "flat-top" as we know has a narrower neck and uses steel strings, which give clear sharp tones. The classical on the other hand has a wider neck, smaller body and uses gut or nylon strings which give a "cool" but dull tone. For me I like the classical because its easier to pluck with your fingers and can be strummed with a plectrum as well. What do you guys think?

Well it really depends on what songs you want to play... If you are in to classical genre well you really need that guitar in the long run but your more on the contemporary side of guitar playing I suggest that play an acoustic guitar with steel strings because the sound of the strings will tell you the difference. Besides a classical spanish guitar has a wider distance between the strings to provide more space for plucking the strings especially for the fast note shifting songs... And most of the classical players don't use a plectrum as well because you will need all your fingers in playing classical songs...
