If Life Is Uncertain When Can We Say Death Is Fair?

Everything have to end somewhere, either its good or bad, unfortunately no death is inevitable, and its unfair for the one left. Recently I lost my sister at the age of 46 due to cardiac arrest. The pain of losing her so sudden is so unnerving i even say death is so unfair why her. But a friend of mine has a friend whose husband was sentenced to death for raping his own daughter who was 8 years old. When the court served the sentenced the wiffe talked to her husband and said " you deserve to die ". Can we say then that death of that man is fair? How about the family of that person's sentenced to die is death for them fair? or unfair?
