happiness vs. contentment

all i know is that both are good feelings tha we always want to achive. you think theres a difference between the two? can you be happy but not contented or vice versa? what do you think?

I think that a person can feel happiness, for a moment but still not be content.
If I am content I am happy. I assume this is for most as well.
I do believe that there is a difference between the two.
Although feeling happiness without contentment can then only be temporary.
If one is totally content then they are happy.

well for me contentment is lower than happiness and happiness is higher than contentment. you can be content but not really happy but you could never be happy but not contented.
like for example. i have a desk job the pay is good and im content with the pay but would be a lot happier if i have a higher pay. and in the same scenario, i am happy with my desk job, meaning with the same pay you are already contented.
