I've seen tofu alot of times on television but never actually seen it in person. When I see tfu on tv it have this white color to it and kind of looks like cheese I would say or oat meal. Anyways, do anyone know what this stuff made out of? I know many vegetarians eat it. Also if you have ever tried tofu, oes it taste good? What does it taste like? Would you recoomend it to someone that have never eaten tofu before?

Tofu is made out of coagulated milk. It's pretty yuck. I'd prefer what we refer here to as "quorn" which is made out of fungus, or so they say.

Tofu is made from soy beans, or somesort of soy bean product. It's a good source of protein and pretty low in fat. When it's plin tofu can be pretty tasteless and bitter, but whne you cook with it, it's like a sponge for flavor. There are SO many ways to cook with tofu, and it has the potential to be extremely delicious.

I am a vegan and I love tofu! It is made from soybeans.. It has no taste, but picks up the flavor of whatever you cook it with. It is high in protein and that is why vegetarians and vegans eat it. I think it's the texture that puts some people off. It's kind of spongy. I recommend it to everyone because of it's nutritional value. If you want to try it, be sure to cook it into something you like. Or maybe order it in a dish from your favorite Chinese restaurant.... let me know if you decide to try it and what you think of it.
