What do you need to change about yourself? I personally need to change a lot of things about myself. I need to learn how to stop complaining about stupid things and appreciate the good life that I do have. I need to learn how to stop procrastinating and do things that I really need to finish or practice in my life. I also need to learn how to become more social, because I don't really have many friends, but the ones that do know me say that I am a great friend. :D

well the first and the foremost thing that i would like to change about me is my anger. i am very short tempered, i lose my cool very easily. and i tend to break many people's heart while being angry so that would be the first thing that i would like to change about myself. another thing that i would change in myself is trusting others easily. i tend to believe others very easily i don't think that's my another negative point that i would like to change and get rid off. i like to stay at my place and not roam around with my friends or anyone, so i would like to change that as well. that will be all.

We have the "anger" problem in common I see. There were time when I find myself so angry I literally feel steam coming from my ears. And I have a very hard time controlling it. I've seeked help in the past for the problem in the form on anger management classes and found that through the duration of the classes, I did find some techniques that I found useful at the time but like with most things- practice is what makes perfect- and those classes were so long ago- I can't even remember what techniques those were. Throughout the anger management classes we were allowed to vent about what was "going wrong" or making us angry this week and usually that would make the rest of the week a bit better for us all. (those of us in the group)
Maybe that is the answer- must find a way to release the anger by finding someone who will listen and not be judgemental. Because the best part about talking in the group is no one was judgemental or defensive- which is what us "angry" people encounter in everyday life when getting angry.

I am easy to be angry if something that I don't like happen, I have learned to be more patience to face my children, my husband or my problems. I even always pray to the God, please make my self to be a patience people, but really It's so hard to do. then I'm angry, angry and angry again, what's wrong to me. But fortunately I have a flexible husband, he is never angry to me although he doesn't like to see me angry

I need to lose alot of weight! I need to lose at least 100 pounds that is the first thing I need to change about myself I am tired of being to tired to do anything! I also need to finish the things I start and not be so negative about everything!

I need to tone up my arms, my tummy, and my butt. I need to learn how to organize a bit better. I also need to write more on line so I can earn more money. I need to get my kids up earlier so they are ready for school next week. It seems there are not enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do and want to do, so I have to learn to do more in the time that I do have.

i am moody. but not like aggravating others. just one minute i'm talkative then give everybody a sad face the next time. i can laugh out loud this very hour and get mad then next. sometimes i don't know why. but am aware of these mood swing i have and i'm having fun out of it. i can't imagine myself feeling happy all the time. hehehe..

owwwhhhhh myyyy!!!!!!!! there's a lot! too many to mention..but you know what? i leave it ALL TO GOD! i cant make it on my own sow i just lift it to God and i know He is in control over me and He can help me deal with it..Trust God!!

First off let me say great topic! Something I am focusing on lately and am glad to find it being disucssed here- I call it "self-evaluation" and if more people took the time to do this - I think this world would be a better place all around.
Personally I would love to be able to manage my aner better. I tend to blow my top very easily and it is very hard for me to calm down afterwards. I find that I tend to talk with a very sharp tounge when i'm mad and I tend to offend people that my anger has nothing to do with- such as my mom or my sister. I feel very bad afterwards but at times am too embarrassed to reflect on it and apologize to them- espeicially when it isn't their fault. So this is definitly an area when I coud use some change.
I also would like to stop procrastinating so much - sometimes I put things off to the very last minute and then go crazy trying to figure it all out and get it all done. All the while driving everyone around me crazy as well...lol
I would love to change my excersize habits as well. Would love to become more consistant with my walking schedule.
Again thanks for the great topic for dicussion - lately here on mylot they are far and few between!

Well, Tresaquwe, I need change some aspects of myself, too.For example, I should accept and respect others' opinions completely, I'm learning, but sometimes it's quite hard. I should listen more instead of say more...I should be not only direct, but also tender, before I speak, I should think of my words more...I should love more people, not only who I like, but also wo I dislike...
So...I need change a lot. Hope I can do it in near future.
And thank you for this discussion, it reminds me my objectives.

When I think about changing something about myself, I always look at both sides; who will benefit if I change and will it do me any good. Just think that when we decide to change something about ourselves, its because we want to improve ourselves not for others.

I think before going to change ourself it is better to study what is the need of it?...If you seriously need to change yourself ,then you may have to sacrifice lot of things... I think to change about ourself we need the strong decision making power first,,,,,and also need to be in our decision what ever happened...there also need a strong mind too.......

..personally, I don't like changing something about myself..:) although changes is always there..but if I were to change something about me, then that would be my name..haha..sometimes parents don't care what their children would feel about the name they given to them, you know! :P

I need to change my attitude from being negative into positive. This past few days i know how to react into positive outlook in life which makes me feel relax even in the onset of problems. Although I admit that I rattled and pressured if there is the problem and i need to resolve it immediately. And this is the great challenge to me now. Yes, there are things I need to change about myself too. I would like to have two girlfriends I could hang out with and they do not drink either. Mybe we could Bingo or walks or have dinner once in while or just talk on the phone.
The next item is to let things go when they are too picky or I make mountian out of mole hill. Learnig to do things slow. Sometimes I feel so micro managed in my life since raising two daughters who are will be college.
I would travel more by myself and not be so scared about it or what other people will think etc... like females should not travel alone to greece or Europe etc...

There is just so much that I need to change about myself, well, to get rid of the bad habits really. Sometimes I'm just too slow, what take many other people only a minute, I end up taking 10 minutes, I need to exercise more, need to eat more healthily and stop being so damn lazy! :)
