I would like to ask everyone about this question. When you need something(like job, money, etc.) but you cant get it whatever you do, and you get stressed about it, what would you do?
I also remember this question from my friend. He told me that he was asked this question in an interview.
If you are stressed, Do you pray? Do read books? Do you solved/face the problem?

Hi Danzylop,
Along with the stress, does depression also rear its face?. The symptoms are that you want to be alone at all times. I think that everyone faces this problem except for a few enlightened souls. I cure myself by
1, Giving up self-pity which is the "why me?" approach.
2. Analysis of the events which led up to the crisis. This will probably show that you are also at fault, not only the injuring parties.
I will strongly advocate against praying or reading as these activities involve only you. Company of others does wonders for you. And the ultimate clincher is that situations are bound to get better. About 95% of human beings go through a Ferris Wheel in our lives. Up and down and then up and down again. you really can't do anything about it-so why worry!! Have a gala time with your friends. Life is short and there is no time to waste feeling stressed or depressed.

Prayer with a holy song can really give you a peace calm and that works. well, it work on me once. having friends too is nice i ust hope they don't pull a prank or annoy you, at least talked things that doesn't involve you or just some one else.

Yep my experience has been that where stress is deression is usually soon to follow. I have struggled with depression in the past and actually think I'm going thru a mild case of it now that I have been unemployed for the last year and change. I try to keep myself surrounded with friends and all around positive people but when your alone it seems that is when it gets the best of you. So I agree serubhai- keep doing things that involve others- try not to spend too much time alone as it will only give you time to think and possibly fall into a deeper depression.

Sometimes I don't realize how much stress is building up until I suddenly feel overwhelmed. Other times, several stressful or attention-demanding events will happen at once, and I suddenly go from calm to completely overwhelmed really quickly. However it happens, how can I quickly calm down when I'm feeling overwhelmed by stress?
I usually take a walk. Exercise can be a great stress reliever in itself, as it helps you blow off steam and releases endorphins. Taking a walk when stressed provides the bonus of getting you out of the stressful situation and providing some perspective so you can return in a new frame of mind.
Also, I take a mental break. If you can steal away a few minutes of peace, visualizations and guided imagery are a wonderful way to restore peace of mind. They're easy to do, and can relax you physically as well as mentally. (http://stress.about.com/od/generaltechniques/p/profileimagery.htm)
Have a nice day my friend! :)

couldn't agree with you more juneramir! Walks are my ulitmate stress reliever for sure. I usually like to take one or both of my doggies with me so that way it will be a walk/work out (they are two big beautiful pitbulls). Like you mentioned walking kills two birds with one stone for sure. It calms me down, helps me think clearer, helps me handle the situation with a level head when returning and keeps me healthy. what more can you ask for when your stressed.

hello vstone,
this comes along with "Dont face your problem if your problem is your face".
that sounds funny but the point is, if one cant handle the problem or having a hard time dealign with it, why bother about it? right?
I mean, it would be cruel for ourselves to keep struggling when you can sleep over it.. haha! well, however we avoid thinks we will always have to face our problems whether we like it or not.

My remedies for stress include listening to the music of my favorite artists, spending time with friends, walking my dogs or walking by myself. I also like to take rides and go sit by the ocean. Whenever you sit by the ocean you and your problems always seem very small compared to the rest of the world-- if you have never tried it I highly suggest it ;)

When I am stressed out I tend to get on my treadmill and get rid of all the stress by running or I might go to sleep and hope that I'm better when I wake up. It does help for a while but then I have to get back to doin what I was doin before and I get stressed out all over again.

when m stressed out.. i do not read book it because it would stress me out even more. i have not even tried praying. when i am stressed i usually turn on my i-pod and listen to good music. that is the first thing that i would try to release my stress. another thing that i could try is that i would take a shower :) yes its true when m stressed i take a shower and i feel comfortable seriously. i just get a hold at first and then face the problem with full confidence. i think we all should face our problems with confidence that way we will never get into stress.

I usually would face the source of the stress head on. I will do everything to overcome it by taking steps to eliminate the problem. For instance, too many bills to pay can be one source of stress. I do my best to settle the ones that need immediate attention.
