Previously i have never used my phone to online... until i upgraded my phone to one that supports wifi feature.
The reason behind is as such.... My work environment uses firewall to block certain ports and we are unable to reach certain page such as facebook, friendster etc...
However, i noticed that by using opera mini, can bypass those and are able to surf most of the pages i want. That's y i love to use it to online!

I have and do so much unless I really really have to. I have a blackberry storm and it is great, but find that online use on any cell is much too slow.
Glad your happy with yous

I agree that online on phone is much slower, however, i noticed that certain websites that were blocked by my office proxy or firewall is accessible through my office WIFI, therefore i am using it to online. As i am not subscribing to any data plan, that is y i use it to online.

@Renhard, yes but very slow and you do not get to see the full page, it is a big pain and not worth the effort at all.

However there is addional chageges that applyed so I realy dont care for using my cell phone for the internet. I use it for voice calls and texting only.

I could get a data bundle and pay a flat rate from my cell phone provider but I do not use it that much. I pay a flat rate for texting and a low rate on voice and that is goo for me.

Yup. If you use your gprs or 3G to connect which will have additional charges to your phone bills, then it would not be worth it. I would turn off my phone connection to use 3G for internet. Instead i will use wifi to connect. Problem is, you'll need place with free wifi to access internet :D

Yes i do use my mobile phone to come online but only when i really need it i use it. I mainly use it for signing to many well known instant messengers. I can get to know who's on and at what time he's on and what he/she is doing and so on.
I feel it to be of a great help being able to come on in such a small device which has completely changed my life...
Cheers!

I used to use my phone to go online all the time.. I would check the weather, get ringtones, look for upcoming concerts, go on Facebook, etc. Then my phone broke, and I had to get a new one.. The new phone I got is terrible. Also with my phone company if you break your phone and get a new one they take away your free internet service. I went on the internet for like 30 seconds and they charged me 20 bucks!

If I would still have to be online on my mobile it would mean that I'll be online 24hrs a day. hehe. I guess I'm just happy with my PC that I didn't have to get a mobile which have those features. I have a very simple mobile phone since I've left my sales job. I only use it for calling and sending sms anyway. And since I am always online in PC or laptop there is no need at the moment. Not even when I travel coz I also have a plug-in internet. Now if in case I'll lose access to my PC or laptop then probably I'll die if I can't get hold of a blackberry or any mobile with internet.

I never use it online because it is absolutely the worst internet connection you have ever seen! The text on it is too small to read, it takes like 15 minutes for one page to load, if we open facebook you can't even go on someone's wall and you can only see their profile picture, it's the most useless thing in the world! Haha. My mom and I are going to get rid of our internet at the end of the month. :]

I don't go online simply because of the small screen and the expensive costs. But many youngsters do use it to chat in MSN.

I never use my mobile phone to sufr the Internet when I am at home, just because I have another tool - my computer.
Yes, I tend to spend all my time on working from home, including running my home based business, promoting my affiliate programs and updating my niche blogs. But when I am going out for fun, it is impossible for me to go online with my computer. Then, I will regard my phone as another tool temporarily.
I don't like this way because it is really slow to connect the Internet with my mobile phone.
