Hi, graciouz193. My reason for using facebook is because I want to share many ideas and new developments with my friends. I also come here to look for people that I have not seen or heard from in many years. Facebook is very fun to be on. You can meet many people there. It is also a great place to hang out at. We can play games, chat and comment on many posts, photos and videos.
The bad thing about it is that people can become online predators. We have to be careful about what and all information that we share with others, even it is private. We just don't know what are peoples intentions on this social networking site.

I am using facebook because it is a very easy way to communicate with my family in Japan and in America; with my long lost friends and with my close friends. I sometimes also use facebook to play games. I think the only disadvantage of facebook is that it takes most people's time, which causes them to be unproductive and it exposes private things.

Hello graciouz193! I'll rephrase your question to get my answer... :)
I am using facebook to play FarmVille. ^_^
That's my first reason why I made an account there. My friend introduced to me that game, I said, there's nothing wrong in trying... and now I'm in level 70. Keeping contact with family and friend follows. But as of now I temporarily deactivated my facebook, personal reason...can't share.
The advantage is well to keep contact with love ones, games are stress relieve and the disadvantage based on my experience: Time Consuming and Facebook Addiction

..because, facebook is so far the best social networking site that i know of as of now.. most of my friends from high school and college are their.., facebook allows us to keep in touch with each other despite the years that we haven't seen each other.., and despite the distance in between us.., we can chat exchange pictures and if we are bored we could play online games there too..=)
