Don't kill the messenger...

In the Kemerovo region in Russia Gennady Osipovich decided to visit a fortune teller who told him he was going to be in prison.
Upon hearing this Mr Osipovich stabbed the psychic in order to stop her prediction from becoming truth. He figured if she died her prediction would too. He apparently murdered another two people somehow involved in this prophecy. It is all very sad but what is really sad for him is that the psychic did not die by surviving the stabbing and he is going to jail for 22 years!
How about that? Did the prediction come true or did he make it happen? Both statements are true I guess.
Have you ever forecast something which came true? Have any of your friends?
Once I had a feeling that something was going to happen to a friend and sure enough she phoned me later that night from hospital because she had a bleed on her brain...
Thankfully she was okay after surgery but wow, I knew somehow something was wrong, weird huh?

I know a woman who went to a fortune teller. She did it mostly for fun because the fortune teller was at a fund raiser. Well the fortune teller said her husband was having an affair. She didn't believe it and joked about it with her husband when she got home. Turns out hubby was having an affair and confessed because he thought he was caught.

Oh my! What a way to get caught out! This fortune teller had something there! It would be interesting to know what is coincidence and what is a genuine prediction. I'd like to think that in this case the psychic saw something in regards to the husband and she was right! Thanks for sharing that CatLady!

Maybe the husband was having the affair with the fortune teller?

No way to know if the fortune teller really knew or it was just something to say. It ended the marriage. The man went with the woman he was having an affair with who happened to be his ex wife.

I agree with you, the prediction did happen, and the guy made it come true. I make forecasts sometimes. Like if it's going to rain. Though sometimes it is obvious. I did forecast one before when I was in college. I feel really odd that night. My cellphone is in my pocket with my money. I had a bad feeling that I'll loose everything that is in my pocket. So I transferred everything to the pocket of my bag and held it really close to me. Then the public vehicle that I am riding got full. Then there was this lady maybe in her 40's sticking really close to me. Then in my pocket, I could feel something moving. I was really scared that it could be some insect or something. So I peak at the windows beside the lady. And the moving thing at my pocket stops. Then when I turn my head away, there it goes again. I did this several times and same thing happens. When I arrived at the place where I should be going down. My pocket is inside-out. So that's when I was sure enough that it was the lady.

Maybe there is really this ability. This is interesting. I guess somehow, I "developed" it, because I had a couple of experiences with this "ability". Thanks for appreciating my story. ^_^

How lucky you had the foresight to remove your belongings out of your pocket! This is the kind of thing that absolutely amazes me. It has to be some kind of psychic premonition. I read somewhere that we all have this ability, it is just a matter of learning how to develop it. Stories like yours and what others have shared are convincing me that it may well be very true. Thanks for adding your experience to my discussion, I appreciate your amazing story trishasantos!

Hi Paula! What a story! As you have said, this man made the prediction come true.
The woman has been a good fortune teller.
Your ESP is quite scary. But, Paula, did you really feel that out of the blue ? Or did this friend have some problem earlier like hypertension , stress , head ache, disorientation or something else?Did she look bad that day? If it were a hunch it is fine.If it were purely an instinct ,I would rather not have any such sixth sense.
Or do you know palmistry or any such thing? Mnay years ago there was a film in our regional language where the heroine gets a vision of future happenings and her sister herself is murdered. I did not sleep that night but it was very scary. I never watch such films normally.

Hi kalav! I don't usually exhibit any type of psychic ability. My friend has had several brain bleeds since that first time and I haven't sensed any of those! The only condition she had at the time was very poor kidney function which was irrelevant to the brain bleeds. I am very interested in the paranormal and clairvoyance etc but I don't practice any of it myself. Thanks for being here!

When I was a kid I was playing at being a fortune teller. I used an upturned empty coffee jar as my crystal ball. I was mad at my next sister (can't remember why) so I told her she was going to get a stye in her eye. The next day, she had a stye in her eye. (She was prone to them, anyway.)

Well, as I said, she was always getting styes, so it was more like a curse, I guess, and yes, she was always wary of me. I just had to look at her and she'd complain to mom...

Wow that was either a really good guess or you really are psychic! I bet your sister was a bit wary of you from then on! I had a boyfriend years ago whose mother hated me and she told me she had put a curse on me. I didn't end up with her son and the years that followed were particularly tough so who knows? Thanks for responding BarbaraPrz!

It is a special kind of sixth sense that many of us of experience from time to time. Some people are more sensitive than others in this area. Sometimes I wish I was more intuitive although there are some predictions I would rather not make! Thanks very much for responding eshaan!

I have never forcast anything bad about someone's future but I know what you mean about people hating the messenger. I did once suggest to a guy that he should see a doctor because he stayed do red all the time. He just kind of blew it off but a couple of months later he had a stroke. Something is wrong with his veins and he hasn't been back to work but I do know that he is doing well.

People don't like to hear some things and do not realise they should for their own good, thankfully your friend was okay. I used to see a clairvoyant years ago who was very good but these days I don't seem to feel the same need to go...I don't know why...Thanks Jen!

I think that gifted people are often slow to tell you the bad things that they might see. If you don't feel like they are being honest..it may be why you don't want too go as much..because in the end we really do have premonitions of ourselves and we know if someone is holding back.

The dirt bag should go to jail! Stupid idiot!! lol What the hell did he go to the fortune teller to begin with if he didn't want to hear the truth? Dumb dumb dumb!!
One time I had a dream that I had a baby. I didn't even know I was pregnant (in the dream) and had these awful pains and went to the hospital and found myself in the maternity ward! I had my baby and when I got out of the hospital, I begged my parents to stop at the store so I could buy some pretty things for my baby and then I woke up. I told it to a friend of mine who claimed to be psychic and he told me that something big was going to change in my life. I didn't believe him so I carried on with my life and a few months later, my ex-husband and I were separated and we divorced so this friend was right!! It was quite a shocker to say the least!!

Finding out that a prediction has come true is usually an amazing surprise! The man in this story is clearly not all there in the head and deserves to be where he is right now which is jail! It's a shame the fortune teller could not warn the other two people he killed! Thanks for stopping by Cats!

My 2nd pregnancy, a week after the pregnancy test, I woke up absolutely convinced it was twins. Said to myself, "nope, can't be". About 5 weeks later guess what the ultrasound showed?

Whoa! That is weird! Wouldn't you love to be able to turn that sort of sensitivity on and off? In wouldn't like to be able to predict everything but some would be good like your news! Thanks Dawn!

Wow! What a crazy story!
People can make their future come true if they really believe that it is going to happen. I guess this is what happened with this guy. He obviously had a few loose screws to begin with, but he totally believed what the fortune teller told him so he made it happen.
The same beliefs can work in the opposite direction too. You can go to lots of seminars about wealth creation and freedom from the 9 to 5 living and not really believe that it will happen to you and it will not. But if you attend these seminars with the belief that you will change your life for the better, then you will make it happen. In a way these people that run these types of seminars are fortune tellers. But ultimately we are in control of our destiny, it just comes down to belief.

I agree. It does come to belief and determination to keep striving for a goal even when it appears to be a long way off. There is a lot to be said for the power of the mind, that's for sure. The guy in this story was clearly a nutcase. I do believe there are some out there with psychic gifts; not as many as those who claim to have them though! Thanks for your response Bill, appreciate it!

It is a very mysterious matter. Prediction..... fortune taller..... forecast on future..... are always in question. But co incidentally some of those come true.
Many time our estimation about future comes true. So many reasons are there. How much we see the future with proper reason effect on the results of our forecast. People has power of imagination. Some people has strong power of reasoning. Such people can guess properly of happening. Intuition.... sensitivity.... telepathy... so many factor makes the matter more critical. In single line no one can say that all the prediction and forecast are false or true.
We have the instance of both false and true results of prediction and forecast. So it is an answer less question. Mystery is there behind this.

Yes it is a mystery that's for sure! There is a very fine line between coincidence and fate. I believe that there are a few people in the world who have a psychic gift but unfortunately there are so many more out there who claim to have such gifts but rip off people instead...Shame...Thanks for your response Aaleexix, I appreciate it!

I don't know...Have you read Hatley's response? I've been told things by a clairvoyant once that were amazing, it wasn't so much what she predicted although some of that came true but what she told me about myself; she said things no one knew...It's fascinating...Thanks for responding Jotomy!
