have the will power to know the difference between the need and the want. you can live without your wants but not without your needs. with this in mind, you can set a budget for those things that are truly important like food, rent and savings. bringing only the amount necessary for buying tips will help minimize impulsive spending. stop borrowing money for unnecessary things an live with your means. in my case, it's very vital to plan what things to buy and how much should i spend for the month for i only have limited financial resources. my online earnings help too. do you have anything to tell?

I do, sometimes. Usually only if I don't have the money to buy the things I want.

I don't spend impulsive since 8 months now and it doesn't help.
Not only food and rent are important. Also bills for water, electricity, bills of mobile phones and other little things, which make my budget melt really fast. And this is without buying things, which we don't need.
It's not really important how much you spend, i think it's important how much you win, because there are bills, which are needed and you can't say - no, i won't pay the money, because i don't have it. So for me the best way is to try to win more, doing different kind of things and to spend as much, as i can, for that time.
I think that everything will be o.k. that way.

I do actually, most of the time.. But then there are times that I can't help but buy things that are not a necessity but more of a luxury..When these happens, the budget is kinda screwed up,lol.
So, what I do is stay away from the "want" things and concentrate on the "need" aspect.

I do also do the budgeting, I have to budget first with the important things I have to pay and spend, like my bills, food, and everything that is necessary, if there are excess with my money, sometimes I save it and most of the time I spend it with my son....
Money budgeting is very important so that we know how to spend the money wisely.

Yes, most of the time, I pretty much plan what I spend. There might be one or two times where I buy something right off the cuff of my sleeve. However, it is just best if I figure out what I need to spend. That will in turn give me an idea how much I need to save for a rainy day. The money is not going to become worthless if I do not spend it right away after all.
Some people spend their money right when they get it. They just have to buy everything, because they think the money might burn their wallet to ashes or something like that. I just shake my head at this fact. The money is going to be there and you might need it later. So once I know what I need to spend, I can figure out what I need to save, and life is great.

Hello! Of course! As a homemaker, it's very important to plan your spendings every day in order for all of us to pay all the bills, including food and miscellaneous/ unexpected things that's needed to be paid. By being a aware of handling what you only have and not to spend beyond your family's limit, you will be able to save for whatever vital projects in the future or be able to live within your means. Good night!

I always do 90/10 policy whenever I receive my salary. I always see to it that the 90% of my salary would cover all of my expenses. i always try to budget them sometimes, I always stick with my budget, especially going to grocery stores. i try to put everything in my list that I need for the whole two weeks. then I will go to grocery strictly follows my list. then the 10% remaining would be saved as part of my savings. why don't you try it.

yeah, i often write down what i have bought or spent each month ,then calculate the rest money for the rest day ,normally if no emergency ,the money i took from the bank is enough for me to pass a month's life ,then if emergency ,i will check the rest money ,rearrange the money for everyday ,except the daily expense ,try to save money such as take less shopping ,less eating outside etc.
if all the things go like what i have expected , i can take actions as what i have planned at the begining of the month.

I can never tell the difference between a need and a want. If i could i would probably know almost everything.

Yes, I always plan my spending because it is very difficult to save if I won't plan my spending other wise I have nothing to eat on the following month and nothing to save if I will just spend and spend. If there's something I want to buy and my budget cannot afford at the moment then I would postpone the buying until it fits to my budget. I am glad that I have no credit card and no plan to apply at the moment.

Hi,
I think it's really important that you plan your expenditure beforehand. I mean, let's be reasonable. There are people who are dying in hunger, people who are suffering form malnutrition and diseases. Considering their situation, we should put some limit to the unnecessary wastage of resources. Even when you are investing money in some business you have to make your homework. This is mostly felt by those who, at some point of time in their lives, were financially jeopardized. A person who has never faced such situation can't be expected to control impulsive spending. Thanks.
God bless you

I do, but not in very much detail, just more or less. It helps you keep track and analyze your spending a lot, so I have been doing it for years. I used to do real budgets in the beginning, but now I do know more or less how much I spend, so I can do it in my head...

I have found it very difficult in recent time to plan since my income does not come regularly. I however have mental calculation of what basic needs will cost. I used to plan before but now that income is no longer regular, I just meet the basic needs as they come.
