Have you ever visited Tinuy-an falls? The picture below says it all. It is the mini-Niagara falls in the Philippines that is 55 meters high and 95 meters wide. It's located in Bislig, Surigao del Sur. This is my hometown, and I've visted this falls for several times. What's even more amazing with this falls is, it has more layers and you can even go to its top. When it's raining, the water flow becomes even more breathtaking and it looks like there is a fog on the bottom.

That's a nice photo. I wonder why it wasn't featured yet on TV. that's the main reason why if given the chance i would rather tour around the country side than go abroad. There are so many wonderful things here to see before you go looking elsewhere.

I think it has been featured in lakbaytv. Is that the place where a dam is located?

I couldn't agree with you more, ybong007. There are indeed soooo many wonderful things here! And the good thing about it is that those places are not corrupted coz only a few people know about it, so not many tourists go to those places. Like for instance, my hubby and I went to Phuket for our honeymoon. I must say that it was indeed an adventure we can't forget and the places are nice but we were disappointed by the swarms of tourists all around the place. When we went to the famous "The Beach" setting it wasn't so romantic anymore because the beach was filled with sooooooo many tourists! And then a few months later a friend of ours got married and they went to El Nido for their honeymoon, turned out, it was a much much better place. It was so secluded and romantic which is just perfect for honeymooners. Also, we went last month to Apo Island Marine Sanctuary in Dumaguete and never have I seen such beautiful out of this world corals and fishes! During our snorkeling in Phuket there wasn't even a single coral around! So then my husband and I decided that we should tour the country first before spending so much on plane fare to tour other countries. Perhaps we can even visit Tinuy-an falls someday! :)

Wow, I have not visited; will you invite me?
One thing about the Niagara Falls that is likely not to occur here is the freezing over of the falls which makes for a spectacular change of appearance. Niagara also sports some decent colorations at night, museums, boats such as the maid of the mist that get into the choppy waters below the horseshoe falls etc.
At least those are some of my memories of Niagara which is an attraction on the USA/Canadian border :)

Unfortunately, none. There are only cottages that are like "bahay kubo". It's far from the city though. From its city proper, takes about 2 hours before you finally reach there. The road is rough and narrow but I think it is much better to ride a big jeepney than motorcycle.

I think it's really a nice place just by seeing your photo. I really like to travel and discover places like that. Thanks for sharing your place to us. I hope it can be featured in "trip na trip" to have more exposure. I'm looking forward to visit that falls.
