I think obviously what I am writing something for does play a huge role in the way that I write. For instance, something that I write for school is going to be different than something I am going to write on the Internet. Also mood plays a big part. So what things affect the way you write? Looking forward to reading your responses.

Emotions does affect how people write, but the far bigger problem i have is the internet, i tend to copy a lot of stuff from the internet. One of the biggest disadvantages of the internet. Don't get me wrong here, i didn't copied from the internet right now.

Even indirectly, the Internet can influence the way we write. In the back of my mind, there might be something that might skew what I write, even if I do not mean it. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Text messaging has definitely affected the way I write. Sometimes I would accidentally place emoticons or use text abbreviations like 'bcoz' or 'b/c' for because when writing formally. If I leave it like that or forget to fix it, surely the company I was writing a business letter for, for instance, would definitely not hire me. Well, unless they accept informal letters.

Yes, text messaging can really cause us to develop some bad habits when writing. I tend to avoid texting pretty much full stop these days. Still, there are times where certain quirks slip in. These get caught when I look over everything. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
