Are you a fast respondent?

Hi, friends. Let's talk about our speed of responding. I noticed that some mylotters are quite efficient in responding. They can be done with a response in less than 2 minutes. That's amazing.
As for me, I'm really a very slow respondent. When I respond to a discussion, I have to think about it for quite some time before typing my thoughts down. I think about questions like how to organize my thoughts well and how to make my ideas convincing. Sometimes it may take me 10 minutes to finishing responding to a discussion. Because of this, I can only respond to about 5 discussions every day due to my speed and limited time of being here.
What about you? Are you a fast respondent or a slow one as myself? How many discussions can you respond to every day?
Your ideas are highly appreciated.

It really depends on what is going on that day as to how fast I respond. I have been very fast before but then there are times like the present when I have not had a chance to respond. I have run across discussions that I had to think about before I responded. I can answer several discussions if I have the time to sit down and surf. Getting the time is the problem sometimes.

Finding the time is truly a problem. Given considerable time, everyone can respond to discussions far more than he/she usually responds to. For many times, I found so many interesting discussions yet can't respond to all of them because of limited time. It's quite hard for me to spare time to be here, so I don't want to be in a hurry to write down nonsense. I just choose to respond to at most 5 discussions per day, but I pay great attention to the quality.

If I see a topic which just requires an answer which could have been found in the FAQs or Guidelines then I usually respond very quickly. This is to avoid there being other responses with misleading information.
If it is a fun topic that is posted and I have a response immediately then I will also respond quite quickly too.
However sometimes there are topics that I am certain others are going to respond in one direction and I prefer to wait because my response will be the opposite. I prefer to be response #11 so as not to bias what others say in those discussions

Thanks for sharing, Diana. I agree with you in your choice of quick responses. Anything that can be found in the FAQs or guidelines certainly doesn't need any deliberate consideration. I believe most mylotters are grateful for your timely and accurate answers to questions that actually can be found in the FAQs. Discussions needing reflections are ususally of a serious nature and require us to have a careful thought rather than jump to a conclusion.

I am not terribly slow, but not as fast as I would like to be.
The most I have done in one day is 50 but can't dedicate all day to doing this.
Some people are very fast at discussions and also have more time to dedicate to this.
I would love to be able to get to 100 a day, but I don't think that is possible yet for me. To many other things I have to work on.

50 or even 100 responses per day seem to be an enormous figure for me. I need to spend most part of the day to reach that number. But I'm wondering how can you find so many discussions that attract your attention each day? I can find at most 10 discussions every day that I want to share my views.

I try to respond quickly, it depends on what I'm talking about.
