People are generally Lazy, Ignorant and Stubborn!

Oftentimes when people ask questions it is very obvious that they have been Lazy, Ignorant and Stubborn or at least a combination of two words.
Do you find it annoying as well if:
- People clearly have not been paying attention to what is written on a website and come asking questions that can be easily answered by taking a look at the Help or FAQ section of a website?
- You're trying to explain something but people just ignore your advice? Or they ask follow up questions that clearly show they actually don't care about your advice?
- People have to finish something by a certain date and then come asking you for helping while it's apparent that they have started working on it too late?
Well, I do find it very annoying and I hope people will more often just go research things first before asking or listen and apply our advice more often and start doing things earlier so that we don't have to be bothered with other people's laziness, ignorance or stubborness!
If you have anything to add pertaining this subject, then please do so!

I sure hope that when I ask someone for a little assistance and or advice it is not construed as lazy, stubborn or ignorant.
I tend to do a lot of research but sometimes a bit too much, as perhaps that is why to date, counting my blessings, I have yet to be scammed from any site.
Getting back to your discussion, a question or too perhaps is asked because there is some confusion and not really because one wants someone to perform the task for them, but anyone I certainly do no not get annoyed if I can help though.
If I personally find that I have annoyed anyone I certainly would not continue to pester. My thoughts.

I agree. Sometimes it gets confusing, and you just need clarification. It may also come across as "not taking advice" but truly, is more likely confusion or misunderstanding.
I have found a mentor, I read, reread, study, research, and when I get stuck, I ask her advice. As a thank you, I have purchased stuff through her affiliate link.
I asked if this person minds helping and don't ask any more than absolutely necessary.
I guess it is wise not to ask for help in the wrong places

I agree that one should do what they can to answer their own questions
if they are savvy enough, they probably will, and those people, you will never hear from
however, your statement was a good deal more sweeping than that, "People are generally Lazy, Ignorant and Stubborn" suggesting that people in general are lazy and no one wants to bother doing their own research
I refer to this person as a mentor simply because she was good enough to answer my questions
She could have, and been within her rights to just ignore me, but she didn't and I am grateful, and have told her so. Her "agreement" to help me was implicit, by her response, there was no formal agreement
If it is annoying to answer such questions, why do it? or if one feels they must respond, say "welcome to mylot, please see FAQ ....link"

A mentor gives consent for you to ask questions. But why does everyone ask, and this is an example, how to earn on mylot? The first thing I would do when visiting a new site is head over to the FAQ and read everything. Maybe not even focused reading but at least knowing what a site is about, those who fail to think that it might be handy to prevent yourself from embarassment by reading the FAQ is negatively lazy.

This doesn't seem like a good outlook on people. You can't put all, or even most, people in this negative catagory because then you are assuming all (or most) people are lazy, ignorant and stubborn. And since our fellow humans are individuals it's not good to put allot of people in this catagory you've described. We live in a busy world and it's better to not expect persons to research. You can save them time and help them by answering their questions no matter how dumb the question may seem to you. Please keep in mine the golden rule.

We all generalize so does that mean we all have a bad outlook on people? Surely not everyone fits in the categories generally. The main reason of starting this discussion is to let people realise that they are independant and autonomous, that the human race was meant to be that and that it would make the world so much better if we live by that.
Surely being lazy is fine but if it prevents from someone researching something before asking it gets a tad bit too negative for example.

Sadly, that's most people for you. The majority of people in this world are lazy, ignorant and stubborn, and if they cannot have things their way, or do things their way, then forget the advice of anyone else.
When I had to do group projects before, I had a few people who didn't want to participate and didn't want to do anything and then they wondered why they got the bad grade. Honestly, if a person doesn't want to listen to a word you say, or doesn't want to do what they are told, then there isn't a thing that you can do about it.

Oh, I have made copies of homework for people, but not with the answers on it. That they have to do on their own.
Yeah, my university is like that as well, the professors tell you that it's a "team effort", but what happens when that one member doesn't want to get their act together? Yes, it's annoying.

Here if you have group projects to do and your group sucks like I don't know what it's mostly also the hard worker getting the bad grade under the cloak of: "The overall team effort counts, not the effort of one individual." I have seen that happening too. Also people asking to pass me my homework to them for them to copy. Mwaarghhh, negatively annoying!

People seem to overlook things which are already in front of their faces. Ironically, common sense seems uncommon to them. It must have been one of the effects of advanced technology, i guess. Ü

Yep, people have changed for the worse. I hope later on I will be surrounded by productive people, who like having a laugh and have common sense in their lugage as well. My goodness, I wouldn't want to be surrounded by lazy, ignorant and what not people.

diamania thats a pretty sweeping generalization. I would instead say some people are generally lazy, ignorant and stubborn. but on the 'other hand we have people from all over the world here and what might seem stupid to you might not be so stupid if you would really stop and think
that this person might not have all the fine education you have but that does not make him or her stupid. Yes I am annoyed when people come here and refuse to read all the helpful information that my lot gives us
and then cry they cannot make any money. But as mylotters we are urged'by the admins to sort of help those newcomers who seem lost here. Also I know that I have researched a subject but have not found an answer that really helps my questions. So I do use discussions to ask for help from others who may have more information then I do or have a better grasp on things. I hope I never come over sounding stupid, or lazy or ignorant.

You stupid, lazy or ignorant? No.
It's just sometimes just annoying that people don't seek for answers to their questions first. It happens in a lot of ways. They ask: "How I do get traffic to my website" I say learn SEO and then I say read this and that ebook, it's free, and they say: "I don't like ebooks please explain.", "where can I find this ebook?" Then it ticks me off so much that people seem to be lazy or have no clue that search engines exist and yes maybe that is very egoistic and I should think a bit longer about the fact that my education is much better than theirs but at that moment it ticks me off in such a degree that I am sometimes unfriendly against people, sometimes which I believe is mainly my mistake but if they had put in a bit more effort my reply would've never been like that.
Or I get ticked off because people give information that is not even one percent through. Nrghhhhh!
This is a learning moment, so please don't shoot me everyone. :)

So i am aperson all your facts clearly states i am 100% one of those people. Now i find it very conclusive that i am a part of the human society. You see my first daughter calls me Lazy, i dont put my plates on the washer and even ask for a glass of water or juice (i just like her serving me), the second one calls me ignorant/dumb, coz i dont wanna help her in her homeworks (coz i know its better for her to do it herself) my wife and son they call me stubborn,i always do things the opposite way ( which i actually intended) Nonetheless, we all have our way of showing things, and once you get used to that you find that were just members of a one global family with our own ways of showing and sharing our feelings. Personally speaking ( coz now i am a person) It feels different when you hear your answer from a fellow mylotter than just googling for some topic and reading the result, there is a personal touch when you get what you are looking straight from my lot.
