For many of us, health is perceived as physical well being. Experts though argue that to truly have health or well being, there are six areas that need to be examined and nurtured so that true well being or health is achieved. Medical professionals call these the "Six Dimensions of Health or Well Being" They argue that the only way true health can be achieved is to have a healthy balance in the areas of; physical, social, mental, emotional, spirtitual, and environmental well being. My questions are, is this true? is it possible to achieve true health without all of these? and, does living long truly mean one is healthy?

Hi,my friend,
I agree with the medical professionals...We need the comprehensive heathy factor.Physical,we must take exercise everyday to keep fit.Only keeping healthy can it live a happy life.
Does living long truly mean one is healthy?Perfect question...How do u think about persistent vegetative state. They can live long, but they r not healthy...

Well think about someone who lives to be like 100 years old. they wind up loosing most of the people they care about. I doubt any one has all 6 down all the time but it sound about right.

True ; The good life totally depends upon the six diementions as you mentioned. These are the real steps which we have to control. And, if we gain a balanced state on these that indicates you have a good health which makes one to live long.
And the only formula I found for a good overlall health is POSITIVE THINKING.
This has played aa very important role in my life.
