This diet usually applies to weight control or for the treatment for obesity. By reducing the consumption of carbohydrates to 20 up to 60 gram per day, the Low Carb Diet is very effective. It is suit to people who love to eat meat. Meat is a source of protien that needs in this diet. Basically, our body will use the fat and protein as a source of our energy. Fat and protein will make up for part of the calories that formerly came from carbohydrates. My husband and I are currently in this diet. We are in this diet to stay fit and healthy. We also accompany it with Power 90X workout for the most body area and Gilad workout for stomach area. As of now, my husband is on his 2 weeks of dieting and already loosed 10 pounds while I am still on my 3rd day ang loosing 3 pounds. The only hard thing on this diet is the first day or two or depends on how your body adopt the changes. For me, I was continously hungry all day for my first day on this diet. I ate a lot but after my body adopt the changes I eat less. We love this diet because we mostly eat what we love to eat as long as we cautiously watch the carb continent. It's also great for diabetics.Carbs turn in to sugar,which,of course,raises your blood sugar level.

You are right but they don't recommend it to people because it is too difficult to live in it in long term.

Interesting, but I can live with only few carbs a day :) as long as I can eat my cheesecake. :P
