I never got to play final fantasy 7, I was told that story wise it is swashbuckling! I really do not like the graphics though and that made me not to pay attention. Final Fantasy was an innovation in terms of graphics. Does graphics play more of a part in an rpg game? or does story take away the graphics part? I mean i would not play metal gear for nintendo entertaiment if i will be playing metal gear on my psp. any thoughts on which is better ff7 or ff8?

Graphics don't bother me one bit. I love 8-bit games. I really don't understand the whole not liking older graphics, just seems unreal to me. FF7 was alright, I don't think it deserves all the praise it got. FF8 was also alright. The story got a bit wonky very quickly (especially the big twist about the history of the characters midway through). If I were to suggest a PS1 Final Fantasy I would put 9 there instead. It is a better fantasy game and has a better story. It also has the awesome ability to have side stories when in towns and follow every character as it goes.

as a die hard ff7 fan then i would say ff7 is one of the best. Graphics really doesnt hinder me from appreciating a rpg. i have played rpg's cartoonish and such. But what is really best is the gameplay, storyline and depth. in FF7 during its peak it has all of this. its one of the first rpg games to give 3d open world feel to it. Rich stories, amazing mini games, amazing gameplay what can you ask for more. you would not really appreciate rpgs if your just looking for graphics, go play fps instead. graphics is a great addition but not necessary great for gaming for the whole. i have seen this in racing games, great physics, great vehicles, great graphics but the gameplay is horrid. i wouldnt mind blocky objects if i will have fun with it.

I ever played final fantasy 7, but not until completion. I played until the finish is final fantasy 8 and 9. What I liked best was the final fantasy 8. I was a boy named Squall, like the main character in the final fantasy 8. Because when I played final fantasy 8, I'm pregnant.
