In my country, people are known practice their religion as their way of life. But religion could not build a better life between religions.
For example A group of 500 Islamic extremists blocked Christians from the Huria Protestant Church (Hkbp) in a field where the Sunday service was taking place. The incident occurred last July 18 in the city of Pondok Timur in Mustika Jaya subdistrict, district of Bekasi (West Java).
The most important to remember, that government can not protect the minority. The minority from other faithful still under pressure of the islamist extremist.
But some of Mohammedan can live together with other people from ather religion (e.g. Christians).
Something to be reflected, what is a religion? Is religion bring peace and the ability to live better with others. I think that religion in herself, not wrong, but the persons who can internalized the value of religion.
How do religion infect your life?

Very sad to know this news. Inter- religious tolerance is still lacking. Religion was never taught to act like that. I as a Muslim is very disappointed with what had happened. I do not understand what is being done by them. If they understand the religion, why would they do this. People like this I think people who do not understand religion.

Well, your criticism seems to be not of religion as a whole but only of some extremist Muslims?

Hi pormadi, I do not consider myself religious and would not want to be thought of as religious. I am spiritual however, but want nothing to do with organized religions, except perhaps for Unity, which is a Christian denomination with a difference. There are some things that I agree with in all religions such as the golden rule but unfortunately religion divides people instead of uniting them. I hope the day will come when all religions will realize that they are all alike in their basic thinking and live together in peace. Blessings.

I am a Christian. My faith gives me hope for an even better life after this one. Also, the other Christians belonging to the local congregation are family to me. We take care of each other. I was hospitalized recently, but when I came home, I was weak and had no interest in preparing food for my husband and myself. Members of the church brought us delicious meals for 4 days. By then, I was feeling sufficiently well to take over the job myself.
As of right now, Christians are still in the majority in this country. However, the government seems to bend over backward to protect the minority. I fear that our country may go the way of other countries who have been taken over by the Muslims.

All of us have a set of beliefs, even if they don't come under the heading of religion; and most of us are loyal to those beliefs, sometimes to the point of losing our good sense. The problem with most "religious" people, and I regret to admit I include myself, is that we try too hard to get others to see it our way instead of presenting our point of view and letting the other person make up his/her own mind. People might follow your religion out of fear; but unless you've won their heart, you've failed in your mission.

Sometimes diversity in religion produces discrimination. Mainly because a person will think that his religion is the true religion and consider other religion as false. Personally, I believe that all religions have the same basic belief that there is a God (though we call him/her in different names) that is above us all. A supernatural force that created and binds us in this universe. Religion became diversified because we are diversified. Our different cultures and way of living defined our beliefs and hence resulted to different religions. It is with this acceptance that I came to respect different religions. And it is with this respect that people can live harmoniously despite our differences.

Citizens of a country should have equal rights and it is for the government and nation-builders to determine what kind of constitution they want for their country. Yes, there are minorities who feel insecure in some countries but until and unless the law is secular and impartial, they cannot really do anything. Religion often is misused for personal gains…minorities are suppressed and their properties and wealth usurped and religion is used just as an excuse. The majority people who do this are only doing a disservice to their own religion and bringing bad name to it.

religion is something that we should do not what we should write , relegion says be good to human kind, but the people are so arrogant , they ignored what their religion says about respect to other, once again religion is way of life not only writen in book.
