I agree with you windows is weak their defense and main problem with windows system is virus attack.Other way Linux is user friendly compare to windows and very costly.I think most of the people upgrade to Linux.On the other hand software support and device support is weak,because some devices not support in Linux.

the linux is the best, you know, the virus know this!!!, and is real this no boot in sistem linux but linux have antivirus, for example avg for linux!!! good day!!

As we all know,linux is more safe than windows,not because it has a large user,but it is open source,anyone can see the original source,people all over the world are trying to make linux a better os,Microsoft has only thousands of works.It obvious who can do better.But the truth is linux is weak in desktop.But there are many people trying to make it better,like ubuntu it's desktop is wonderful.

I think the way I see it Linux will be become more popular in the near future in terms with desktop and it will become more secure as it age because a lot of people are working together developing it in terms of security. So the concern about virus will not be a problem at all. It only depends on the people you use it, but a bare installation of any Linux flavor is secured already unless the user put some changes to it.
