Pres. Noynoy must be able to address the needs and solution to poverty. For me..With relation to OFW workers and for those who are willing to work abroad, We all know of POEA, OCW, OFW Centers, But in my experiences these agencies rather than helping us to get some overseas jobs are merely just collecting fees to sustain there offices. If only POEA would be very active they would be no proliferation of private agencies hiring overseas pinoy workers. Indeed our country faces a lot problems that need fast solution. Identifying these problems are more effective if we the actual citizens would assist in pointing the right direction for the Administration.

i believe the institution is with him. it's how he plans to support them and find a long term solution that could help our OFWs little by little.

hello Mr.FDG,
first and foremost, it's not easy to begin with. fast solution i believed are like band aids that rips out and doesn't last. i believe long term solution is a must, but such will take time. like i said before, if he has a public number besides his website then he will know the problems of the people through text as well. it won't be easy, but am sure, he'll do something about it.besides, it's not even one year yet

I consider the OFW phenomenon as a symptom of the country's many ills. I think its kind of sad when the fate of the entire country rests at the hand of its hardworking citizens working in faraway lands.
Our country should economically recover to catch up with our Asian neighbors. Eliminate corruption, efficient tax collection, make the country more attractive to foreign investors, government stimulus to develop public infrastructures, make the country export-competitive like China etc. When more businesses start and grow, more jobs are created and the economy starts to grow.
This is how countries become rich. Perhaps we can learn to see this as the permanent solution to poverty rather than looking for foreign employers to Filipinos who cannot find job in their own land.
