I noticed that people nowadays are less healthy. Taking instant food, going to fast food outlets, doing less exercise, less outdoor activities and often stay at home watching TV, playing computers etc. Our life is filled with lots of endless work... even sometimes have to work at home. What is the way to stay healthy, can we change our habits?

well asked. ok i may not be the healthiest person in this world but it is not uncommon that I keep myself free from fever or flu. in fact, i was able soak the rain and remain unaffected. my immunity can in part be attributed to my daily dose of orange juice for a long period of time when i was a child. my dad hated juice and that is why he's now plagued by a respiratory disorder lasting for almost 2 years. he's now using a sort of spray called Locabiotal beginning this month and his coughs lessened much enough. he also had liver cancer which was 20 centimeters across from what i've heard. he was treated by chemoembolization. we stayed within the hospital for a week and i almost saw every nurse that they employ. it's really frightening to get illness.

Congratulations for being healthy. Also sorry to hear your dad was suffering from such illness. We all do need to take care of ourselves, no body is invincible, but we can prevent a lot of diseases if we do take good care of our diet and have regular exercise. Have a good day and take care!

This is very true, while the modern technology is getting advance and advance our lifestyle also is always in the fast lane. Most people rely on fastfood chains where they can order instant foods and others prefer to have instant food instead of cooking. Or maybe becoz some people don't have time to cooked already due to busy works. To stay healthy, eat fruits instead of instant foods. Sleep at least 6 hours if you can't make it to 8 hours. Take food supplements and also some rest or relaxation going to spa body massage it is good to release stress and toxins. Have a good weekend

I agree with you that along with modernization and technological advancement is the consequence of people getting less healthy. That contributes to smoking, drinking, eating instant food and no exercise. Change should come from within. People nowadays are into easy things like eating instant and getting a taxi though the place is just near.I am not into smoking and drinking so I could still stay healthy.

I'm very guilty! My lifestyle is far from being healthy. I believe the ways to stay healthy are to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink a lot of water, exercise. Easier said than done! I know what should be done but not doing it myself. I must be crazy! .

Yes, I have to stay healthy. As one gets older, it is very much needed to take care of one's health. I try to excersize regularly every evening. On the days I get back home from work a bit early, I would go out to the park and do jogging. That's very refreshing and keeps the limbs healthy. In the evening times, I also practise yoga meditation, which is very good for physical as well as mental health.

I think we have to get rid of all those bad habits before we can stay healthy. First of all, we have to change our diet. We should eat less juck food and fast food as they contain a lot of sugar, salt and oil which are not good for our health. Intense intake of such substances into our bodies can cause us to have obesity and high blood pressure very easily leading us to some fatal diseases such as coronary heart disease. Therefore, we must stay away from these food and have more fruit and vegetables as they have antioxidants which can destroy the harmful radicals in our bodies. Secondly, I think people have to do more exercise so that their intake of energy can be smaller than the consumption of energy in their bodies. This can reduce the chance of obesity and this can help to better balance the LDL and HDL levels in our bodies and hence decreases the chance of related heart diseases. Furthermore, I think people need to have enough rest and correct posture when doing certain actions as simple as walking and sitting. This is very important because our bodies are just like the machines and they will have ageing problems. If we overuse our bodies, the parts affected will get hurt easily and this usually cannot be cured. Thus, we must take enough rest every day to let the body relax and recover to prepare itself for the work next day and have good postures so that we do not add in additional burden to some parts of the body causing damage to them. To conclue, we must maintain good habits in order to become and stay healthy.
