What is the meaning of pros and cons??

It's a latin( I am not surre if its latin) word pro et contra. Meaning to say, yes, as you said. It's the positive and negative. And its not an acronym lol it's a derived word.

you may also say it as negative and positive side of things.., but i can understand it better if i say that is the advantages and disadvantages of a certain thing.., I hope this can help you a bit to understand this phrase..=) happy mylotting..

pros means the positive effect of what you will do and cons means the negative effect. as far as i can understand it, when you need to make a choice you have to weigh its positive or negative effect. that is pros and cons. i hope this helps
