For me it has to be Torino, possibly because it is not on the more popular tourist route, although there's plenty to do and see. There's a lot less of a rushed, frenetic feel to Torino compared to the bustle of other Italian cities and it's very easy to find your way around.

Anywere at all in Italy. I've been there several times, (Twice to work and and once for holiday) I like the country in general and I'll be going back there in a couple of weeks time for a holiday with my sister. We'll be going to Naples and intend to divide the time between the city and trips to Pompeii, been there before, but did not have the time to see all of the ruins, Herculaneum with a side trip up Vesuvius and a trip to Capri.

Take a trip to the Amalfi Coast if you get a chance. Positano, Ravello, Amalfi, or Scala - very romantic quaint seaside towns.

Thanks I'll look into that possibility. We are only going for a week (6 days) and we've already accounted for half of that with the excursions previously mentioned and I expect that the city itself will occupy the remaining 3 days. One thing that we want to do is to go in the Naples Archaeological museum and that's probably going to account for a full day on its own.

There are many beautiful places to visit in Italy. The most famous that I would recommend are Rome, the Amalfi coast, Venice, Pisa, Pompei, the island of Capri, Florence, Sienna, il lago di Garda, and Milan.

I live in Va and have been to Italy twice. The most peaceful and beautiful spot for me is the via de Reggio. Wonderful seaside town easy drive from Rome. We visited during the day and the nightlife is supposedly quite the scene.

Well, I live in Italy. It's difficult to say which are the most popular places. First of all it depends on what people looks like. About landscapes and nature there are a lot of places to see: mountains, seas, lakes, island. There are historical cities: Rome and others Roman cities, medioeval cities as Florence or villages of Umbria, Baroques cities as Turin, Milan or Sicilian cities. Culture cities: Rome, Venice, Turin... I think the most important cities to visit are: Rome, Naples, Florence and Venice. Other cities I suggest you are: Turin, Milan, Verona, cities of middle Italy (Urbino, Pisa, Perugia...) and cities of South of Italy. I live in the very North so I don't know very well South cities, but everyine told me that they are very beautiful. I personally live in a turistic region called Valle d'Aosta, both in winter and in the summer there are turists here. It's so true that my parents manage a bed & breakfast here.
