Why Toneaday giving so much money?

I still didn't understand why Toneaday giving so much money just to rate some words. How they are funded this much? They don't ask for an investment to join. They don't have any advertisements in their website. They can't be sure that the words are accurately rated. Most people will just try to finish rating words somehow and get credited. You can see that some people rate about 7000 words a day( probably some autobots). No way they are rating the words accurately. Then why should Toneaday waste so much money. Instead they can hire some professionals and do the ratings. I still didn't understand what is the real motive behind this.
