Twitter has swept the world like a plague, first starting as an innocent means to update friends on daily tasks, now it is used for supposed "friends" to spread lies and slander in the hope of becomig popular themselves on the social messaging site.
Beware all Twitter users, It's a dog eat dog world out there, and there is allways someone who will make fun of one person or make up fake gossip in the search of becoming the most popular Twitter user.

Twitter is just like any other social site on the web. It can be used or abused. To condemn all Twitter users is just as sign that you don't know much about it. People with similar interests can connect to each other. You can follow people you like or respect, for whatever reason. I follow ten people right now, all of them having something to do with writing and publishing. It's a good way to be informed of interesting sites or articles that I might not have known about.

Twitter has changed the world. Some changes have been good but it would be foolish to think that all changes have been for the better. A lot of the time, there were a lot of changes that have been done through the Internet. Twitter is one of the biggest, but I think that a lot of people are taking Twitter far too seriously. It is just another website on the Internet.
People spend every free moment of their time, obsessively following celebrities. Would they do it without Twitter? Of course many of them will, but there are a lot of people who utilize Twitter. It is just another medium to spread whatever news, whether fact, fictional, or some strange truth. Twitter can be useful, but much like everything else on the Internet, it should be taken with several grains of salt.
