What do you usually eat, vegetables or meat?
Me, I used to eat meat rather that vegetable. Only few kinds of vegetable which I like, mostly we eat meat. But I think it's not a healthy habit, my parents would always tell us to eat more vegetable. Now I'm trying to taste other kinds of vegetable because my mom told us that vegetable will make your lives longer, and this is more healthy foods than meat. Either this is a belief or not, I think there's no harm on trying ...and anyway mothers knows best!...But then I know there is no wrong trying to eat vegetable, we just have to get used of it... So how about you, care to share?
Happy mylotting!

I'm vegan, and before that was a vegetarian, so it's been about 10 years since I've eaten meat. While I definitely do love vegetables and eat a lot of them, there's a ton of room for variety. I also eat a lot of beans, pasta, bread, quinoa, couscous, tofu, seitan, etc. Substituting out meat is surprisingly easy and even my meat-loving dad prefers the lentil walnut burgers I make to actual hamburgers.

Great that you did it, I hope I too can do that....It may take a lot of time shifting to be vegetarian, as the saying goes - if others can, why can't I........10 years of not eating meat is very long, but I'll be inspired of what you did....
Thanks for sharing! Happy mylotting!

Shifting to a vegetarian isn't as much as a struggle as people initially think. It does require some research and effort, but there are so many vegetarian-friendly foods and substitutes out there these days. Cutting back on meals with meat slowly is a good idea though (good for the environment too - if every American went meat-free just one day per week, it would have the same benefits as taking 8 million cars off the roads.) www.vegweb.com is a great recipe site, if you need some meal ideas ;) Being vegan is a fair bit more difficult though, especially for me since I was a huge cheese lover.

I eat meat. I just love the flavor of meat, I don't think I would want to live if I could not eat meat. My husband and I tried to be vegetarians for a short while but it was very hard, and we ended up eating a lot of pasta and we both gained weight. A lot of people say that meat is unhealthy it isn't it gives us protein, and iron among other things that our bodies need. I like to eat a balanced diet. I eat vegetables, fruits, meat, small portions of starches, the worst thing I do is have sweet treats.

At the start it was really hard to adjust if we used to eat meat and shift to eating vegetable....And yes, I agree that we need to have a balanced diet, and proper attitude if we really want a healthy living...Oh that wasn't too healthy of what you did, having sweets, you will gain more weight with that...Hoping you wouldn't do that as your routine....
Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed Sunday!

I tried to be vegetarian but its really hard when you're used to something so at the moment I avoid meats except for fish or if my step mom cooks for us because I don't want to be rude. I used to not get enough vegetables but I'm working on that now because I need to be in better health. I've discovered new allergies because of trying veggies I've never eaten before and new favorites.

Well I think it was a normal reaction of your body, maybe sometime you will get used to it. But be careful sometimes with allergies because it might not also good with your body. Just keep on eating those veggies that you like now, or as you've said those new favorites you have...Happy living!

Hello there!I ate in variation, i love sea foods, vegetables, fruits and meats as well. But between vegetables and meats, i will pick veggies more because i love its taste and the good health benefits it gave to me. My mother influenced me a lot in eating veggies. She cooked viands with vegetables everyday. She said that eating vegetables will make us her children, grow strong and healthy. I didn't have a hard time consuming them because of their good taste. Even the simplest steamed vegetables are appealing to me because i know that i could consume everything without worrying of anything bad that could goes along with eating them. Good night!

Unfortunatelly for me I am a meat lover. I would love to be vegetarian because I hate the idea that I am eating animals, it's so unfair for them.
The problem is that I love meat so much that I can't stop eating it and I hate vegetables so much that I can't start eating them.

I'm a meat lover and mostly eat meat. Yes I do eat vegetables, but the only way I eat vegetables is in salads (but I have to add lots of dressing since I don't like the taste of vegetables) or mix the vegetables with some other foods like into spaghetti, lasagna, shepherd's pie, etc. I know I should be eating vegetables just to get the vitamins and minerals, but mostly my dad tells me I need to eat more meat since I'm always skinny. Believe me I eat a lot, I just have a fast metabolism that it's hard for me to gain weight unless I eat junk food all the time. Since I don't eat too much fruit or vegetables, I take a multivitamin just to get my daily vitamins and minerals I need.
