Learning about make ups

I'm 24 years old, but I'm yet to learn about make ups. I have a very bushy eye brow, and I hate to pluck them out because it hurts so much? I really want to learn and go to make up courses, but it's hard. In Malaysia, we're lacking of make up studios and such. How do you learn to put make ups from? Your mother or girlfriends? Do tell

I consider myself a beginner in makeup somewhat still even though some in my social circle might say otherwise. I learned to put on my makeup with the help of a number of sources. Some might include family, friends, my own personal experience, and the internet as well. Youtube is a great place for ideas and tutorials, granted I never go as extreme as some of the tutorials on youtube can be. I have pretty shakey hands so I don't REALLY enjoy doing eyeshadows and eyeliner, butI do enough to make it work. Sometimes I might ask family or friends to help with makeup if I have a special event to go to or something. It really just takes practice. Speaking of eyebrows, my aunt plucked them for the first time almost a month ago. The downside is once you start...you have to keep up with them, because when they are growing back they can look pretty bad. About every day or every other day I will just go and pluck the few I see so I don't have to do a lot at once. It isn't the most fun experience, but I think waxing hurts a bit more. Maybe you can take some pain medication before you pluck your eyebrows or numb the area somewhat with an ice cube perhaps before plucking if it hurts you that bad. I know people talk about taking an aspirin or two before waxing, so just though I might recommend it. Again, just whenever possible, just practice. Makeup is all about experimenting and having fun.

hi lilmuchang in almost all cities there are stores like J.C p ennie s with cosmetic counters. there are clerks there that will do makeover for you and show you how to apply and use make up. this is free as they of course are hoping to persuade you to buy some cosmetics.,but they do help those who have no idea of how to apply makeup. there is no charge for this although you may be tempted to buy something.Even in Malaysia I am sure you have some stores with cosmetic counters and there you might find some help too.

There is always the internet to discover things. How about a local library? One might also write a few of the makeup companies. They might have classes, lessons and tips. After all they want you to buy their make up. I bet they have it figured out.
