I have always when the children were younger found time for them, after school time ,holiday times ,tried not to work while they were home ect.
Then they grow up and just about find time in their busy lives for parents, but this is a good thing also as they are learning skills to become adult, but we would always have meal time sharing our events of the day.
Then the kids move on and you find you have more you time, then what??how do you fill what was full of family time and has now become your time.
My husband collects watches, cleans, services, repairs and really enjoys his space to do this, and the garden which we both do together.
We have dogs and they fill some of our day,but its important to have hobbies,to keep the brain ticking over and keep you doing something,I like to knit and of late buy dolls house kits ,make and paint them, childish and wonderful, enjoy every moment.
What do you do,or what when you are able do you plan to do ?????????

I hear alot of older people talk about how fast time flies when you have kids. Right now I have 5 kids so my time is always busy. We started late in life so sometimes I worry if I will see my kids grow up. They are always around me so in my mind I think it's impossible that one day they will leave me but reality is they will. I don't know what I would do. Sometimes I joke around telling them I will go to their homes to clean or babysit. I tell them I will help them their kids. Am I expecting too much from that?
