The software was from MyPoints, not ZoomPanel

If you saw the discussion I posted a few minute ago, the site was actually MyPoints. I was taking two surveys at once, and had the companies mixed up. Anyway, if they ask you to down;oad something that tracks your computer usage, it contains a Trojan Horse. Thankfully my antivirus stopped it.

hi bd I have avira anti virus and twice when I started to add o ne of those toolbars from a survey it informed me at once this contains spyware shall I quarantine it or delete it? I always said delete. I do not want spyware on my computer as it slows it down to almost a stop. I do not add any survery's tool b ars as once bitten twice shy. If they will not let me stay as a member withing their toolbar, then that survey is not for me at all.I do not even let Neilson rating put software on my computer as I am very leery of any strange search bar or other foreign software.

Its not a Trojan how ever it can be considered spy ware since it does track your usage. Your virus scanner will say its a threat since it its tracking you. How ever you can easily set your scanner to allow programs from this site. I have been a member of my points for many years and have their tool bar on my pc and have not had a single problem. As a matter of fact I earn more points with their tool bar than I did before. So once again My points is a safe site and their programs are safe as well. Its the virus scanners that when scanning will incompass all trackers and cookies as a threat.
