I have been like this nearly all week.Even with all the pain,i have been in a real great mood.I know that this week has been rather stressful aswell what with having people in and out all week, good bank balance aswell as knowing that i have done extra christmas shopping.Perhaps it is that i have less to worry about now,but i just can not understand why i am soo happy.

Happiness is always there, Life is a choice, Happiness is a choice. I am filipino I naturally born with happiness. I know hard to live in this world but the more you are serious with your problem the more problems love you. I have problems but the people around me are happy what I should do. Do I have to be sad in middle of happiness of others, or join them and forget my problems for awhile. Anyway, being happy is the only thing that is for free.

hi bloemart, i totally agree with you. if we choose to be happy and be at peace with ourselves then it will surely transcend to everyone and will result positive energies. This will surely make us feel good...feel happy and great about ourselves and about life. Stay happy always!

I'm happy for you and that you're in a good mood despite problems that surround you. To answer your question, yes, I have. And also I've been the other way around too, sad, and not knowing why. however, back to the topic. I think with me it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm an optimist at all costs, so maybe if you try to look at the things from the bright side, even the baddest thing, you try to 'find' something good or happy about it, I think it's easier to deal with everything that way and being happier often too.

The way i am now looking at life is alot more different to how i did look at it.I feel like the things that i can not do anymore are less stressful,as i know that there will alwys be someone out there that can help me aswell as that there are alot of other people out there that are in a simular position and they just have to get on with life.I look at all the things that i can rather than can not do.I have come to terms now with alot of things that are happening in my life,so i think that has made it easier.

and of course. There's almost never a chance that you'll be only one in some paricular position, so that's why friends and sites like mylot are, to find someone who you can relate to, to make yourself feel easier and to share advices from your similar or same situations and to help eachother this way. That's why I love mylot so much. :]

Maybe your body is getting everything you need. You are probably getting the perfect amount of sleep and your body is probably getting all it needs nutritionally, or maybe it is as you said due to less things to worry about. What ever it is don't look a gift horse in the mouth, just be happy about it and enjoy the good mood.

The way that i see my pain now,is that there are alot more people that are in just as much pain or more pain than me,they have to try to keep happy.I find that even with all the pain, there are pills that will try to take the edge off and knowing that i am going to be like this permanantly has now sank in,aswell as knowing that i can no longer go back to work. Now its the case of trying to make the most of what i have in life.

Hi Jugs, I always experienced that and when i am in such situation i just enjoy the feeling and never stressed myself in asking what's the reason for being so happy or being a such a good mood. i realized later that it's a conditioning of mind and personal conviction to be happy and at peace. i choose to be happy and just enjoy life. if possible i don't want to deal with negativities. And when i do that...i feel so greatwithout even knowing the real reason for being in that state. cheers!

I am glad you can keep a positive mood in your pain. I would not be happy if I had any pain at all. I don't usually feel good and not know why. I do however get depressed for no apparent reason. I am disabled and I guess that is a reason to be depressed. Nothing new needs to happen, I just feel down. I don't have any pain, or I would probably be depressed all of the time.

I think what it is now, that i have just come to terms with the whole thing of not being able to go shopping,to places that i would have walked to a while back, had to settle with the idea of a wheel chair and asking for help.As for the pain, well that is always going to be there and i know that when the cold season comes the pain will be worse than it is now,so maybe come the winter i will be on a low then.I did feel down for along time,as i have lost all my independance as i can no longer drive, which at the time really upset me.I feel like there are alot of people out there that are alot worse off than i am and that is what i keep telling myself.

You are probably right. When you come to terms with the loss of independance and accept that you need help and your life has changed, it makes you feel much better. I can't do a lot of the things I used to do either, and I need a lot of help. At first, I didn't want to ask for help, and tried to do things myself. Now, I get a lot of help from my friends and neighbors. When I do go to the store, at least 3 people usually ask if I need help. Sometimes I accept, where before I wouldn't. Just because I wouldn't admit to myself that I needed help and was as bad off as I am. It makes me feel a lot better about humanity. I am really suprised when a younger person offers help. They are usually in their own little world, and don't think about anyone else. I always tell myself if could be worse also, and a lot of people have it worse. Just be happy that you feel better now, because in the winter it might change. I do think the worst part will be when I can't drive anymore. That will be hard to get used to. I don't drive far now, and some days not at all, but I still know the car is there if I feel I need it. I can't imagine waiting around for someone to take me somewhere. I live alone and it seems if someone that drove lived with me, it would be easier.

Don't question it, just enjoy. I have been really happy but I Know the reason. Being a born pessimist this is strange. So all I do is not question and just enjoy.

To me this is always one of the blessings of life. It also shows us that how we feel inside has very little to do with reality and a lot to do with our mind set. Blessings

don't try to work out why you are happy, just enjoy it,it does'nt matter why you are happy,at least you're not sad, that's all that counts

I think that it is all about being calm and relaxed. If you relax enough and refresh your body and mind, then you will find that problems do not worry you as much and you will be happier. It is a great feeling when you are energised and in a fantastic mood for no particular reason. When you wear yourself out, you stress about all sorts of little things that you normally would not. Rest and relaxation are the keys to being at peace I feel!

For me it actually tends to go in the opposite way. I will be in a generally rotten mood and I won't be able to put my finger on the reason that I am in a bad mood. Now, when I am in a really good mood, I can tell why I am in a wonderful mood because there is something pivotal that has happened in my life and I am able to pinpoint exactly what has made me feel the way that I am feeling. I hope that your good mood goes on for a while.

That happened to me before too!! haha =D The joy is just there, while i cant explain where it came from, when my day is normal like any other day.. haha =D However, i do hate it at times, when my ex gf used to suspect when i'm suddenly so happy.. haha =D She will think i must have done something etc, and thus i'm happy.. WHile she does nto believe there's no reason for my joy then!! As such, my mood for the day will be spoiled just like that.. hehe

I think we all have those moments. Seriously thinking about this, maybe it is your subconscious way of dealing with all the stress and pain. People in this place are like that. Even when they're stricken with poverty, dont have homes, dont know how to get the next meal, or are diagnosed with an incurable disease, you would see that they have the aura of smiles and happiness. The mentality about that is this: if you're really down, why let your spirit be down as well? There's nowhere to go but "up".^_^ Personally, I think you're this happy because you know you've gotten past the obstacles and you know that life is going to be good "from now on". Things are getting better, as you said you have a good bank balance, done a bit of extra Christmas shopping, and you have less to worry about. I think you're happy because you feel relieved that you can now relax. That is just what I think and you're feelings are your own. I am happy that you're happy. Take care always!

It proves that feeling happy has nothing to do with what’s going on outside but what is happening on the inside! I have moments like that and I wish there were more of them! My outer world could be in turmoil and yet I feel content, it’s a wonderful feeling and I would make the most of it. The next time you feel blue remember this period and tell yourself to hang in there and that joy will come again soon.

All people are not same. If we study Enneagram it is very interesting to study man. Man can be born with different character and temperament such as choleric, sanguine Phlegmatic and melancholic. What needs is as Socrates says - "Know Thyself". knowing one self can lead to his own refinement and gain ultimate happiness with the assistance of divine grace.
