I was window shopping on a rewards site when i come across a good deal. I go ahead and order the item. With out much thought I decide not to spend the extra 6 dollars to have it shipped to my house. I don't have a car, that should be the first sign, so I spent about 4 days waiting on a ride. Now it's a pleasant road trip with my youngest daughter, who just doesn't seem to pay attention to traffic. That was fun, to say the least. Before we leave town, it's gas and something to eat. (30.00) Get to where I need to be, she decides to shop at my expense. (40.00) Happy birthday. On the way home she tells me she is hungry. Sorry, no can do. Eat when we get home. Money spent on item that will get much use 30.00 time spent with kid (priceless) Now, thinking about it, I would have to say, it was still a good deal. I will spend the extra 6.00 to have it delivered to my home next time. Have a good day.

Lol cute story, tjburcham. You're right that time spent IS priceless. Maybe that's one you can charge to the bin of "those beautiful mistakes". 
You sound like a very positive person, that's very important in a mom. Props to you.
