I've been at my job for over a year now. Last year when I was a new employee, I was getting thirty to thirty-five hours a week. Now, I have been cut back to between twenty and twenty-five hours. I don't know why they are giving sixteen and seventeen year olds more hours than adult employees get. I have been looking for a second job because of this. I really need the money. Do you have the same problem?

Luckily, that is not how we work in my country we are paid full salary for working form 8.00 am to 5.00pm with a lunch break of one hour in between.

Yes I already experienced our company cutting work hours to the employees. When I was an agent in a call center. There have been low amount of calls coming in and there are lots of agents on the floor. We have had long periods of waiting of the intervals of the calls being received and it will take long periods of avail time before we receive the next call. Our company then will cut our work hours and they will be letting us to go home being unpaid for the hours that we didn't take. I did resigned to that company because it will really not help the employees with that scheme.

Haha this makes me laugh because I know how you feel lol.. You are not alone. You think that is bad I will love to have get 20-25 hours lol.. Last last week I got 35 hours now this week I got 25.5 now new week starting today I got only 11 hours but I don't worry because Jesus will find me a new better job. So as of right now I see it as I'm getting experience teach me everything you know I will take that with me. But as of right now I am praying that God will open a big door.
Well yeah all the new people are getting all the hours. Funny part is that we are hiring and people are getting all the new people 20 plus hours which is a lot. So yeah it's not like I don't work hard.. Not that I don't do my job just I don't kiss their butt. Well yeah I'm upset but hey what can I do lol

Well, my hours instead of cut back, it increase, but not by the company it just that the boss want us to work extra hour but without pay, and we talk to him about the pay but just says that need to talk to human resource department, and it was a time ago.
My co workers are upset about this and the reason that we don't do a mass quit, is that to find another job at this time is very difficult, and we have a family that need the money of that job.
