How many years you have spent as a student?

I liked student's life - I liked student's life a lot

This combines both your pre-school, school and college life. It has been over 18 years. I am still a student but doing it via distant education for my masters in Business administration. The more you spend studying the more you learn. This is for people who want to take value from education and not just for living. I have seen many of my friends loose their individuality for money and job. Yes surely they are important but it should not kill the individuality. I love Human resources and i took that as a major in my masters. I love electronics and communication a lot. I took that as my bachelor degree. Share ur thoughts on the same.

I have been a student for 16 years. I started preschool at three and have not stopped. I am finishing on my second Associates and plan on tranferring for my bachelors. I love school and to learn. I agree with you that about studying helps you to learn more in life as a whole. I want to do something that I love and not ust for the money. I have a family that I wan to be able to watch grow and not miss out on this from working such a demanding job.

It's almost 18 years I'm studying. I start to go to school when I was 4 and now I'm 22 and still student. Doing my BBA in 3rd year. Still 1 years to go to complete BBA and after that 1 and half year MBA then my parents wants me to do PHD...don't know when my student life will come to at end...waiting for that day...I'm really bored...don't wanna live this life any more. I think I have to study even after my marriage because my parents wants me to get higher studies and men now a days want a highly educated qualified wife....at least boys around me...whom I know..or I supposed to get married..I hate it...I don't wanna study for so long...It doesn't mean i don't wanna get higher education but I always hope and dream that there will be a shortcut. But nothing shortcut in education and being successful. :(:(

Its good at your parents. Even mine were like that. My mom is a doctor and dad is a doctorate in physics. No need to say. One good thing, they made me study what i liked which they liked too. They didnt give any pressure. My girlfriend adds to it. She is the push factor for my PG as she was a MBA graduate. OOPS GOOD GIRL. She is not an engineer like me but she wants me to do a major. She is 3 years younger than me.

Are you from India or countries surrounding India? People from these countries always want to follow what their parents want no matter what they want...same things happen to me...my parents wants me to study hard and get a higher qualification so that I get a good job and make all my desires fulfilled without the help of my husband...I know they are right in their point of view as they want me to see happy and satisfied but I personally don't like to study but am to work and study hard to make them happy...sometimes it seems so unfair to me..

I have spent 17 years in studies. I enjoyed in school as well as in college. I can't forget those days. I am not in a position to continue my studies after that. Till date I love to read books.

Your question depresses me. Lol. I was supposed to graduate college last March 2010 but I did some regretful things in life that made me start all over again. This is my fifth year as a college student and I'm still on my 2nd year on a new course (which all in all, the 3rd course that I jumped on to after I got bored with the first two courses that I took up). So to count off the years that I spent as a student since pre-school up to present. I spent 11 years from pre-school to high school. Plus 5 years in college and counting..... That would be a total of 16 years and counting. Best of luck to us. For graduation.

Ive had a total of 16 years of formal education as of this moment. I am enrolled in a basic Japanese language learning short course right now. Classes will start on September 2 but again, that's only a short course. It would take only 6 months and will meet only 3 hours for 3 days a week. Its not much that time really but I do hope to learn the language. Apart from that one, I am considering taking other short courses that would help me learn the ropes of our business. I need to have a basic understanding of what's going on before I can be hands on in things. After completing my college education, I dont think Ill enroll in other classes that are considered formal education, post graduate or secondary course. Im good with taking short courses. That way I can add to my knowledge base and still have time to use them in real life.^_^

18 years, though the last 3 or 4 of those have been part-time while working/figuring life out. Hopefully however year number nineteen will be the last (once I get my bachelor's)... But I am already browsing MBA schools for the future, so I doubt i'll stay away for long (and I may audit a semester or two in the US just for the experience, feel free to insert your nerd comments here)

Started when I was four and I am twenty two right now, still going strong in my education, so about eighteen years as well. It is hard to believe that most of my life so far is spent studying. It is really something to really consider that it is a huge chunk of my life. Almost a quarter of your life if you go all the way through college is time that you spend in school. Perhaps more, perhaps less, depending on how much you live, but in general that is an interesting fact. Right now, I am heading right through my Masters. I think I might have a little less than a year left. It is hard to believe I got this far. Life does go pretty fast a lot the time. Before I know it I will be a senior citizen, rambling about how things used to be in the good old days. Still, it seemed just like yesterday, I was taking those tentative steps to pre-school. Life goes pretty quickly.

I spent a year in preschool and six years more in elementary school. I spend another 4 years in high school and another four years in college. I got to go to post graduate school for 2 years more and on October I will be a student again. Anyway, I think that's a total of 17 years as a student. And there are more to come. lol

I just miss doing my homework, doing researches and reading books also!

16 or 17 years I think. Wow, that really is a lot! I never even thought about that before, maybe for a reason, haha! That amount of education is pretty normal where I come from though, esp. if you go to university, so I don't feel weird about it or anything!

I studied for 17 years in my entire life and still it's counting because I went back to school just last semester. You're actually right that education is very important nowadays, specially that we are now leaving in a new technology and stiff competition do exist. In order for you to have a good life you have to get a good job, thus most of the time one must possess a good educational background to compete.
