i want to invent something innovative in science, ideas please?

friends,i am basically an electrical engineer and i am interested in physics as well,basically i am very curious about physical formulas and discoveries, and i want to achieve some thing innovative in this field, can any one share their ideas and suggestions or if some body is working in any interesting findings kindly share with us so that we will also try to contribute?

My personal suggestion is to create something that would benefit every human being, rather than adding to the long list of discoveries that are pollution our earth. It could be something that would help reduce energy or turn sea water to usable drinking water. This things are difficult to do but are moer important any other innovation that mankind needs.
